Many political experts and members of the media are predicting an upset in tomorrow's Wisconsin U.S. Senate primary. There is no doubt that it will be a very close race...We have reported that there is still a large amount of Wisconsin voters that are on the fence or are completely undecided as to who they will vote for.. Syncro’s a little testy — the Tea Party Express endorsed candidates have been losing to more conservative, more electable, less establishment challengers lately.
Fitzgerald is giving up his office win or lose.

Tea Party Express should have talked to more Wisconsin conservatives. Neumann ran a dirty campaign against Scott Walker and ticked off a lot of we conservatives. Tommy T is too old and we shouldn’t go through the effort to send him to DC and then do all the work again after his one term. Fitzgerald is a good conservative but isn’t well known and Baldwin will use his work on getting Act 10 passed to energize her liberal lesbian base. That leaves Hovde and that’s who I like. He has money, has business experience and will stop the move to big government.
agree, when i think of Tommy i think of the establishment which most of us are tired of, my wife & i will vote Fitzgerald but will support the winner.
btw, Syncro can only parrot and carpet bomb information from outside groups who have no clue about Wisconsin politics. RicocheT is correct. Neumann is dirty. In 2010 Neumann threatened to run a 3rd party general campaign to the LEFT of Scott Walker. He's not a conservative.

I traveled all over WI last week, and met with hundreds of Tea Partiers who were for Neumann.
One of them who co founded the WI 912 group had been for weeks going across the state and found support for Neumann everywhere.

No one should vote because of any group's endorsement, but should vett the candidates themselves of course.
Like promoting Jon Bruning in Nebraska (a mediocre establishment type) & Sarah Steelman in Missouri and bashing their opponents.
Not to mention the idiotic choices in 2010, nearly single-handedly pushing Sharron Angle to the nomination and guaranteeing Dirty Harry another term. What a disaster!
The group may be well intentioned but they are just not very well informed.

TPX was in WI all last week, and talked to hundreds of WI conservatives.
Kirstin Lombard, co founder of WI 912, spoke at one of the events put on by tea partiers across the state.
She traveled the state as a Neumann supporter and found a lot of support for him across the state.
She is very good at explaining Neumann's positions vs the other candidates, and converted many to Neumann's side while talking to those that were formerly supporting others.

I don't think he got 50 big ones from Obama like Solyndra did. Nor did he go bankrupt and rip off money from the government.
Neumann is a home builder that incorporates solar into the homes he builds.
Here is a comment about Neumann back a ways:
He decries the Obama stimulus but defends the solar tax credits installed under the Bush administration, which have benefited his solar-energy companies.
I’m having a very hard time figuring out who to vote for... Even though I’ve had a chance to talk with all the candidates one on one, I’m still stuck.
I’ve known Tommy for years. He’s not the most conservative, but he was pretty good. I actually like the idea that he won’t be a permanent senator due to his age.
Hovde talks a good game. I was in the room when he made his “sob story” comments. Unfortunately, he has little history.
Fitzgerald has great credentials, but gives me a Will Ferrell vibe.
Mark Neumann is clearly a conservative, but his negative ads against Walker and other candidates make me very wary. I don’t think he’s a bad guy and his congressional record is very solid.
I hate being in the position to make a choice in the polling place. I keep going between Hovde and Neumann with a bit of Tommy thrown in. Maybe I’m not a “real conservative,” but my first and foremost goal is keeping Tammy Baldwin out of the Senate.
I would definitely nix Thompson.

Living in Wisconsin, my wife and I have gotten numerous campaign calls and surveys asking who we planned to vote for. Our pat answer was that we were undecided. I refused to give the information they asked for. As the polls don’t open for another hour, I am still not sure but am leaning toward Neuman. Yep, I’m conservative.
Fitz is gonna come in last. If you don’t want TT you gotta go Hovde, his lack of experience aside.

Neumann is just a bad campaigner - he's responsible for putting Russ Feingold in the Senate - and has made himself unpopular with a large number of Wisconsin conservatives.
I can’t believe any Conservative Tea Party types would vote for Thompson, but some FR posters indicate they might.
He is a proven Globalist who is pushing for world wide socialism to be implemented it our country.
I strongly doubt that either Thompson or Neumann would win a runoff with either Hovde or Fitzgerald.
Thompson's time is past and he's not a great bet to be a conservative reformed in the Senate; Neumann blew his chance against Feingold and has spent the years since trying to get back into office and generally made himself into an annoyance while the rest of the party unified to achieve real reforms.
You wonder why some conservatives will vote for Thompson today? Because Neumann lost to a Marxist the last time he ran for Senate and they don't want to take the chance of that happening again with Tammy Baldwin.

Hovde has a big lead among voters who are very excited about the election, reflecting the energy FReepers on the ground have reported, which will probably translate into a narrow win today.

Former Congressman Mark Neumann has the support of 18 percent and Assembly Speaker Jeff Fitzgerald 13 percent.Globalist Thompson went down, Hovde decreased, and Neumann and Fitzgerald went up.A substantial 21 percent remain undecided. The race has tightened since the July 5-8 Marquette Law School Poll, which found Thompson with 35 percent , Hovde at 23 percent , Neumann at 10 percent and Fitzgerald at 6 percent. Twenty-five percent were undecided in the July poll.
Neumann increased the most.
I don't put much stock in polls because they vary widely and are usualy skewed for desired results, but there ya go.
