Disinformation: How It Works

There was a time, not too long ago (relatively speaking), that governments and the groups of elites that controlled them did not find it necessary to conscript themselves into wars of disinformation.

Propaganda was relatively straightforward. The lies were much simpler. The control of information flow was easily directed. Rules were enforced with the threat of property confiscation and execution for anyone who strayed from the rigid socio-political structure. Those who had theological, metaphysical or scientific information outside of the conventional and scripted collective world view were tortured and slaughtered. The elites kept the information to themselves, and removed its remnants from mainstream recognition, sometimes for centuries before it was rediscovered.

Actually the way disinformation practically works “IS”..

By running way too many conservative candidates for an office to water down that voting block so that the “sole” liberal gets selected..

thats how we got Myth Romney.. and why most republicans hate him..
Myth Romney the UNION stooge and Ted Kennedy’s good friend..

All those “way too many conservative candidates” sure went along nicely, and were worshipped just a few months ago here.

Methinks mostly they are part of, not apart from, the political establishment so roundly disliked here.

Fact: “True conservatives” didn’t finish at the head of the class in political strategy, tactics, organization, fundraising, etc.

The Tea Party functioning in decentralized election-by-election district-by-district has shown they can succeed.

National results is another thing entirely. Should Romney lose, a national conservative effort should attempt to take over the GOP, but I am not optimistic.

Conservatism is more prone to infighting, than organized effective action oriented eforts.
