Soledad O'Brien Caught Reading Liberal Blog During Heated Debate With Romney Adviser By Noel Sheppard Created 08/13/2012 - 10:31pm
Can CNN's Soledad O'Brien make her sources any more apparent than she did Monday night?
While filling in for Anderson Cooper, O'Brien was actually caught on screen looking at an article from the far-left website Talking Points Memo to assist her in a heated debate with Romney campaign senior adviser Barbara Comstock (video follows with commentary):
Ali Akbar at Viral Read reported Monday:
During her interview with Virginia House of Delegates Republican member Barbara Comstock, OBrien became visibly flustered and was actually caught doing finger stress exercises as she attempt [sic] to insert editorial commentary while her guest, a former skilled Republican operative, defended the House GOP budget, designed by Budget Chairman Paul Ryan.
Accidentally, a cameraman captured OBrien furiously flipping through notes, only to cut out seconds later.
Once blown up, the picture told quite a story:
What she's reading from is a TPM article titled "The Myth Of Paul Ryan The Bipartisan Leader" published Monday at 6:08 PM only a few hours before this program started.
Mitt Romney has been talking up Rep. Paul Ryans bipartisan credentials since he unveiled the congressman as his running mate early Saturday. But the mild-mannered Wisconsinites record reveals a near-total absence of Democratic support for his many ambitious proposals, very few of which have won enough support to become law.
Inside the piece was the very quote from Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Or.) that O'Brien read to her guest:
I did not co-lead a piece of legislation. I wrote a policy paper on options for Medicare. Several months after the paper came out I spoke and voted against the Medicare provisions in the Ryan budget. Governor Romney needs to learn you dont protect seniors by makings things up, and his comments sure wont help promote real bipartisanship.
So, a CNN anchor with her own daily program used a far-left website for her show prep before talking to a Republican guest.
Do you need any more evidence of just how far to the left the self-described "most trusted name in news" is or why its ratings continue to tank?
Bravo, Ali! Bravo!
THAT would have been news!
Is her DU handle SOB? Didn’t she get her gig by banging some guy on a flight from China?
Pray for America
The woman has issues.
What do you expect from someone named after Soledad Prison, made famous by the Black Panthers.
You didn’t say that, you had help.
Named for a prison. How come her folks didn’t name her Attica or Sing-Sing?
What joke. Soledad was even more partiasan than the Romney rep. Reminiscent of Crossfire. She’s supposed to be a journalist?
Oh, no, this can't be blamed on the cameraman in any manner. It's an impossibility.
This goes directly to the technical director in the control room on the video production switcher.
All the cameraman has to do is keep the talking head in frame. The cameraman has no control whatsoever on switching from one camera view to the other. Only the technical director can do that.
Did her daddy get out of jail yet? And he wasn’t even caught for his molestation of young boys. Yet. It’s the seriousness of the charge that matters. Prove me wrong Soledad.
But honestly, as far as stupid leftist news readers go, there aren’t many who have the ability to make a decent arguement about anything without their government approved talking points. And most, not even then.
I’m shocked, shocked. Etc, etc
She has to make sure she has her MediaMAtters-supplied talking points down.
She doesn’t want to look like a fool at the next Manhatten fancy-dress party she goes to.
SO is the stupidest person at CNN and that is an accomplishment.
She got her gig by AFFIRMATIVE ACTION solely because of her name. It shows. She has no ideas or opinions that are not given to her on a teleprompter or piece of paper.
She is the epitome of a sock puppet TV anchor. A ship’s anchor, is at least useful.........and is probably brighter........
Someone needs to confront her, on the air, about this.
