security guard at the Family Research Council's headquarters in Washington, D.C. is being hailed as a hero after he stopped a gunman posing as an intern, taking a bullet in the arm before wrestling the suspect to the ground.

The gunman entered the lobby of the organization's Chinatown headquarters around 10:45 and expressed disagreement with the conservative group's policy positions, Fox News has learned. When the guard, who was not identified, asked him where he was going, he opened fire, according to police.

Yep...reportedly he was carrying a Chick-Fil-A bag and screaming LGBT policy statements prior to the shooting....

Although I’m sure the gentleman is as brave as the next security guard, I don’t understand what is “heroic,” as we generally use the term, about his asking an unknown person why he was entering the building. Isn’t that why a guard is there? And surely he had no way of knowing the person intended to shoot him or others, or he’d have taken action.

The heroism is in wrestling the POS to the ground after he was shot. A lot of paid mercenaries would have just fled.

I was impressed by this part “taking a bullet in the arm before wrestling the suspect to the ground.”

FRC is probably the most pro family group in DC...and now we have liberal homosexual-activism supporting would-be massacre-type shooters believing all the hate rhetoric from the left

Now we are seeing glimpses of the left wing fascists who are willing to die for their cause.

These types are Obama’s Brown shirts, and there are many of them out there.

Where is DHS? Why are they not looking for left wing conspirators in addition to “right wing” conspirators.
Its a simple answer, they will stop the People from defending against left wing radicals BUT will allow the left wing radicals to run rampant.

This officer is indeed a hero. KUDOS to him!

and expressed disagreement with the conservative group's policy positions,

I'd love to hear exactly what he said.

I consider staying to fight after being shot to be heroic. He could have run away and let the guy into the building.

My only sorrow is that he didn’t take steps to end this guy’s career permanently.

You walk into a building with a gun and shoot me, you better be praying I don’t have a show stopped on my person.

Now I know why I could not get FRC.org :) Can’t wait to get the details. From the sound of it he was going to take a lot of folks out after the guard challenged him.

One thing is for sure, that the security guard is going to get a LOT of TLC, get well cards, prayers and affection.

“The Family Research Council (FRC) is a American conservative Christian group and lobbying organization formed in the United States in 1981 by James Dobson.”

They are known to bug the heck out of liberals, atheists, pro-abortionists, socialists, and lots of other assorted leftist trash.

This guard deserves much credit, he most certainly saved lives after he himself was shot by taking this turkey down. He’s definitely a hero.

Equate his actions to military combat personell awarded medals for heroism, after being wounded then saving the lives of others is exactly why medals are awarded.
