I don’t know if it’s posted anywhere. I think the campaign should definitely post it.

Some lib caller on the Garrison show was trying to convince people that Miami is a junior college and Ryan was a dropout.
I hope the guy runs into Bo Schembechler in the next life.
To: GOPinCa
Thanks. How did you find that? I’m in San Diego and wondering if they’ll make a stop here.

I am in CA as well. Unless this really turns into a wave election, we will only see either candidate here as part of fund raising expeditions. Our state is just too blue to merit their attention. If we do start to see commercials or campaign appearances here, it will be a very good sign.

No prompter at all!
One thread showed a couple of regular notepads with 'scrawlings' on them by Romney and Ryan.
A little while ago, I watched the video of Ryan at the Healthcare summit in 2009. He was stating facts and figures and errors in Obamacare, and he seldom referred to notes. That was when Obama slyly gave him a couple of middle fingers.
Ryan knows this stuff [the economy, the budget] backward and forward.

Now they are playing "Only In America" by Brooks & Dunn - another rousing political rally song.
Notice how all the Secret Service people around Ryan are also not wearing ties. JFK was mostly responsible for men not having to wear hats all the time in public. Ryan might free us of the dreaded necktie!

Ryan gives great speech, as usual.
Regarding CA - Obama is at 52% approval and our last governor was “republican”. I hope Romney/Ryan don’t just think it’s a lost cause (even if it probably is).

Portman is a very nice guy, my former congressman, and my Senator. Despite some who tried to paint him as a liberal, he has been a very consistent conservative vote throughout his political career.
Portman is not a barn-burner, though. He doesn’t set things on fire. Instead, he methodically works his way through what comes his way, and he does it thoroughly and professionally. He is a good man with no real raps on him other than being Bush’s budget guy.
While he is liked in Ohio, I wouldn’t say he has a rabid following by any means. He probably would have helped to carry Ohio, but that because of favorite-son status and not because he is broadly supported.
I like Portman, but Ryan is a better choice.

The first time I saw Ryan was during the televised Republican healthcare summit with Obama.
When Ryan spoke, his was articulate and in command of the facts and the errors in Obamacare legislation. He spoke of those without referring to notes.
He impressed me then. I had hoped he would jump into the presidential fray last spring.
I am honestly surprised that Romney selected him, but I am glad Romney did. There is no other Republican I would have preferred. I was so apprehensive that Romney might go with Jeb B.

Unfortunately, CA will be a tip in the spear of the attack on Obama and the direction the country will go. but, it would be nice to see, late in the election, if R2 let out a challenge to CA to get this one right and bring it back to RED country.
