Insignificant hell! This will control the production of the manufacturers for quite a while and prevent the civilian population from having any ammunition. That’s an interesting angle, to tie up production, but how many bullets can a manufacture produce in a single day? And how much do they have in stock already? I’m asking since I don’t know, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they can mass produce ammunition rather easily.

Probably to help ammunition manufacturers to benefit from frantic sales to a fearful gun owners in exchange for their (manufacturers’) vote for strict control of guns and ammo.

As the son of a Marine and big brother to a Lt,Col in the USAF I know what they go through to be all that they are.

Although never in the military myself I've hunted and shot 100’s of big game animals including charging grizzly.

The security guards will for the most part just protect themselves and a few will protect those they are paid to. It takes a lot to of self control to wait out a bear charge. I cannot imagine how long I'd wait to harm a fellow American. Last resort for sure.

My attitude as well. There are plenty of relevant questions that need to be asked starting with "Why advertize it".

Are guns being bought to go with the ammo? Who is going to do the shooting? The national weather service isn't exactly SEAL team 6 and both the social security administration and DHS are mostly desk pilots.

My personal theory that ammo is being bought but its going to someplace like Syria and its probably actually whatever standard ammo that NATO uses.

Back to why they advertize the buys could serve a couple of purposes. One would be to cover massive amounts going overseas and two would be as a means of intimidating Americans.

Personally, I'm not real concerned that a national weather service assault team is going to kick my door down anytime soon.
