There’s a stunning trend happening within the immigrant community around the country and in New Mexico. Many undocumented parents are fearful not just of immigration officials, but of their own children.

It may sound unreal but there have been cases reported of U.S. born kids and teens threatening their undocumented parents with having them deported.

Maria De la Cruz of Albuquerque says she’s heard of this happening when she lived in California.
"A neighbor said her son, if she didn't buy him something, he'd say: Oh, I'm going to call police so they can deport you. A little boy!," said De la Cruz.

Anyway, I remember telling my mother (who I thought was most unreasonable for backhanding me after I called her stupid and worse), that I'd call CPS and they'd send her to jail.

I'm sick of the government telling us what we must bear.
I say, If the government pushes what we don't want, then we need to find ways to tell them we don't want it, won't tolerate it, rather than roll over like beaten dogs.
One suggestion is a tax revolt, since it is our taxes the government uses against us.
But all of us crying and complaining still pay because we won't NOT PAY in numbers.

I believe it. Theirs is a culture where the woman (mother) is treated worse than dirt too often. Like we need more of that imported and don’t have enough domestic abuse of our own that we can’t deal with. One time I made the mistake of offering to teach a Mexican lady to speak English.
