Only ABC Offers Full Story on Shooting at FRC; CBS, NBC Blow It Off

ABC was the only broadcast network that offered a full story on the FRC office shooting on Wednesday night. They led with the story and gave it two and a half minutes. None of the network newscasts reported the breaking detail that shooter Floyd Corkins volunteered for six months at the D.C. Center for the LGBT Community, adding depth to his political motivation.

On NBC Nightly News, Brian Williams gave the story just 17 seconds: “In Washington today, police say a man with a gun walked into the offices of the conservative lobbying group the Family Research Council, and opened fire. He never made it past the lobby. He shot a security guard in the arm before the guard was able to subdue him.”

On CBS Evening News, substitute anchor Bob Schieffer offered 20 seconds: “A gunman opened fire today at the Washington headquarters of the Family Research Council, a conservative Christian lobbying group. The man shot a security guard in the arm before that guard and others tackled him, and he was arrested. Police say that the suspect made negative comment about the council's work just before the shooting.”

MSNBC says the shooting wasn’t politically motivated.

Of COURSE they did. It doesn’t fit the narrative.
Of course, had it been a tea-partier, they’d have devoted a full 8 minutes to it, AT LEAST, with hourly breaking updates.

Meanwhile sources elsewhere tell us that Family Research Council was the LEADING lobbyist in the effort to convince Evangelical Christians that "Romney is our boy" ~ their campaign was carried out over a 5 year period and led to the 38% backing Romney has among Republican party faithful, which may include Evangelicals, Catholics, and Mormons.

Although this was all clearly nonpolitical ~ guy just didn't like his sandwich from Chick Fil A or something, Romney spokesmen clearly indicated that nothing had changed and this issue is still not part of his campaign. No statement has been made.

Gays heaved a sign of relief last night as virtually all MSM continued to report, or not report, the shooter was heavily armed and had served as a supporter at numerous GBLT centers throughout the Washington DC area for the last 6 months.

It doesn’t even have to be a Tea Partier. As we’ve already seen, the Media does a Google Search (that’s how they research everything these days)... if they come-up with a similar name associated with the Tea Party, they just declare it so.
