But be honest, Yardstick. You've been a Romney supporter from the git-go.

I donated serious money to Cain, then to Newt. I support Romney now because he's the best remaining choice.

Romney is much better than Obama because 1) he's not an America-hating Marxist and 2) he is politically accountable to the Republicans, who are in turn accountable to conservatives in a way that Obama simply is not.

Your nose doesn't know what it's talking about.

I'm telling you you're either a gullible pollyanna...

You think the country will be better off after second Obama term, but I'm the pollyana?

LOL -- please pardon me while I laugh in your face.

Because he's going to be held in check by certain political realities that we should all be aware of. And because, as I have said, electing Romney isn't just electing Romney. There is an entire "establishment in waiting" that will come in with Romney, and lots of its members are going to be working behind the scenes to advance our causes.
If Liberal Romney is elected President he will be the top Republican and no doubt supporting RINO candidates for elected office. If you allow him that power for the next 4 election cycles as President and possibly thereafter, then Romney is worse than Obama. The democrats will be promoting Libs on their side and Romney would be promoting Libs (like himself) on our side.

If you really believe Republicans are going to keep Romney in-check (Ha-ha-ha!), then just look back at recent history of the over spending the Republicans engaged in when they held power under Bush. Expecting that the GOP will pressure Romney to be a decent human being is not realistic. In fact, Romney will be in a prime position to make the Republican party worse by supporting RINO candidates for years to come.

You don’t think his being governor of a blue state with a blue legislature and a blue electorate influenced what he said in public about those issues?
You seem to think Liberal Romney was just saying those horrible things as lip service for political ploy. But we have the videos and in them he clearly speaks with emotion and conviction. Heck, he even refers to his own mother while he supports abortion nationally.

Note: supports abortion nationally, not blue state like you put it.

LOL. I wish I had more time tonight, but I have to get up very early. Please try to imagine the libtard enemy within (Romney) along with the squishy, fossil RINO incumbents in the Senate who went along with GWB's big spending!

Exactly what I thought and responded!

And I had to laugh too!

Down ticket elections are about rallying the true believers. You really think Romney will do that? Please.

At worst Romney will be a non factor, versus Obama the ideologue who will inspire liberals to vote for dog catcher.

So even within the context of your silly argument it still makes more sense to go for Romney.

Yeah, that’s really convincing, referring to his mother. A politician would never do that unless he was really being sincere. /s

Yes, I believe it and know it.

Your ridiculous arguments that Liberal Romney is nothing to worry about, have been thoroughly rebuked by several Conservative FReepers with fundamental political realities, as well as his own words.

It is one thing to be shaky enough to vote for Liberal Romney, but to go to such a high level of shameless BS as you do, reveals deep moral character flaws.

I can’t believe you have changed minds towards Liberal Romney with the crap you continue to spew. In fact, quite the opposite, the sensible arguments against you will help keep people focused on the extreme dangers a Liberal Romney Presidency poses.

How dare you.

Don’t you realize this is exactly the sort of comment idiots like Media Matters picks up to show how “Neanderthal” we are?

My friends and my family have felt enough pain, and you purer-than-thou zealots wanting it to increase just because the GOP didn’t pick who you wanted is repugnant.

Our financial situation will improve dramatically under Romney. And right now money beats moralism like rock beats scissors.

You see the sensible position in all this.

I’m a FISCAL conservative who could care less about most social issues. Frankly, its not the government’s place to involve itself in social engineering of any sort and from any side.

The issue is the economy, period.

Not who’s zoomin’ who.

(Mind you, many of the Romney-hating so-cons supported Mike Huckabee.....the textbook example of a socialist RINO and charlatan fraud.)

"Well, we've survived an America-hating Marxist out-of-nowhere broadside so far ... I think we can survive another four years of an America-hating Marxist."

Tell that to the railroader, coal miner, truck driver, electric power-plant worker, etc who's lost their livelihoods because of Zero's War On Coal. Tell that to people who invested in General Motors who got screwed by Zero when he gave the unions payouts before them. Tell that to any small business owner who's failed in the last four years because of insane ant-business government regulations. Speak for yourself, Mr. Know-It-All. Its about the economy and I'm voting my wallet. Money over moralistic social engineering.

(PS, I'd vote for a gay atheist over 0bama if said candidate was a capitalist who actually loves Am,erica....and doesn't EAT DOGS!)

Dear Leader will simply bypass Congress and rule by decree as he’s been doing.

Are you really that naive?

You sanctimonious purists are going to cost some of us money.
