How I became George Obama's 'brother'
Fox News.com ^ | August 16,2012 | Dinesh D'Souza

Posted on 08/16/2012 2:39:05 PM PDT by Hojczyk

A few days ago I received a call from a man I recently met named George. He was a bit flustered, and soon informed me that his young son was sick with a chest condition. He pleaded with me to send him $1,000 to cover the medical bills. Since George was at the hospital I asked him to let me speak to a nurse, and she confirmed that George’s son was indeed ill. So I agreed to send George the money through Western Union. He was profusely grateful. But before I hung up I asked George, “Why are you coming to me?” He said, “I have no one else to ask.” Then he said something that astounded me, “Dinesh, you are like a brother to me.”

Obama’s refusal to help George is especially surprising because George doesn’t just live in American-style poverty but rather in Third World poverty. He lives in a shanty in the Huruma slum in Nairobi. He gets by on a few dollars a month. Obama also has an aunt named Hawa Auma, his father’s sister, who ekes out a living selling coal on the streets of a small village in Kenya. She says she would like to have her teeth fixed, but she cannot afford it. Obama hasn’t offered to help her either.

Incredible though it seems, George Obama is, within the context of his own society, a conservative. He doesn’t worship at the shrine of Barack Obama Sr. and he espouses an ideology diametrically opposed to that of his father and his famous brother. George has experienced first-hand the empty rhetoric of the two Baracks, and he rejects it based on his actual experience of Third World poverty.

Let him speak at the RNC convention...oh, we’re the stupid party, sorry. We’ll block out Sarah, Cain, West, etc.

Just got off the phone with the local GOP.

First they played a loud recording over the phone, then a woman gave me a sales pitch and then she asked me for a $100 donation.

I told them that I will hold my nose, like I did in 2008, and vote for Mitt but that was all I could promise. Told the woman that my contributions go to more worthy causes than the GOP like the Tea Party and Wounded Warrior.

They are stuck back in the era when the MSM controlled who lived and died politically in DC, before the internet and the new media.

*****

It’s not that they haven’t learned, it’s that they don’t care.

They got the job they wanted and they are going to make as much money as they can while they have that job. They only give a da*n every 3 1/2 years when they need more of OUR money. :(

We all knew Priebus was a Mittbot the first time his name was mentioned at the RNC meeting where they select the chairman.

News was all over the place.

I predicted then that he couldn't be trusted to provide fair and equitable leadership to all the factions in the party, and as it's turned out he's just another Romney toady ~ just like you!

We gotta' get rid of this guy.

BTW, for what it's worth, whether you understood any of it, what Mike Steele did or didn't do, it happened while he presided over one of the greatest electoral victories in Republican history.

I doubt your boy can duplicate any of it!

This illustrates the primary difference between conservatives and liberals.

Conservatives believe that we each have an individual responsibility to help others. Liberals believe it is the responsibility of the government to forcibly redistribute money from those who have it to those who those who liberals believe should have it.

This is why conservatives make far more in charitable contributions than do liberals (both in total dollars and as a percentage of income).

George was prominent in 2016 which I saw yesterday. He didn't really rip Bambi, he said he is his own man, didn't want any handouts... blah blah blah. He wrote and had a book published in the last few years, apparently it didn't really go anywhere $$.

Denesh while filming in Africa didn't feel safe. I doubt George has a death wish by telling his story to a GOP Convention, especially since he would need to Satellite up in Africa without a Visa.

A couple of years ago, George teamed up with a British journalist Damien Lewis and the two of them published George’s story in a book called “Homeland.” Yet according to Lewis, shortly before the book’s publication in America, the publisher Simon & Schuster decided to shred the entire print run, more than 20,000 copies.

Lewis tried unsuccessfully to get an explanation from Simon & Schuster but to no avail. He now suspects that the White House convinced Simon & Schuster that George’s story might prove embarrassing to the president.

*snip*

n 2010, George also applied for a visa to come to the United States and was refused. While George confesses that in his younger years he was a delinquent, he has never been convicted of any crime.

Moreover, he has a very good reason to visit the United States: his mother Jael Otieno lives in Atlanta. So why would the U. S. embassy in Nairobi refuse a tourist visa to the brother of the president who just wants to spend time with his mother?

In the past few days, an article has been circulating on the web that depicts George as a social undesirable.

I never heard that before. If course, S & S is the same publisher that bribed Jim Jeffords to switch parties with an "advance."

True, D’Souza has written extensively about anticolonialism, but I heard Churchill historian James Humes (who does a bang-up one-man show about Churchill, too), talk about it in 2009. In the Q&A, the first question was about the return of the Churchill bust... Humes previously cheerful disposition clouded over immediately, and he discussed the subject brilliantly after that.

And when you compare 60s/70s radicalism, a thick layer of Marxism, and familial anticolonialism on top of that... voila - you have Obama.

I don't know if the run of 20,000 books has been shredded, but you can see the contents of the book on Amazon and Google Books. I found this interesting passage on page 276 (p 275 and some previous pages) had been excised from the preview, so the sentence starts in the middle (bold mine) "...Barack Obama, its "lost" African son and the possibility that the first Luo president was going to be elected -- in America!"
