Progressive chairman known for promoting drugs, funding ACLU attacks on religion.
Everyone has seen the commercials with the ditzy brunette touting the lowest rates on auto insurance. The companys name is Progressive.
This company lives up to its name the same way the far left clings to the term progressive.
Word started to leak out earlier this year, when Forbes reported that the left-leaning billionaire Peter Lewis, Progressives chairman, got involved in the 2012 election with a $200,000 donation to American Bridge 21st Century, a liberal upper PAC founded by David Brock of Fox News watchdog Media Matters for America.
Forbes also reported Lewis has been bankrolling the effort to legalize marijuana across multiple states for years.
The Boston Business Journal confirmed the report, noting Lewis donated $525,000 in July for an effort to give voters a ballot question on medical marijuana.
Lewis leftist goals have been blasted in a commentary on the Daily Paul website, which criticized Lewis as your typical rich spoiled kid who took over the company from his father and apparently feels guilty for his success.

Progressive is a ‘scumbag company’!
Progressive denies it used its lawyers to clear man who killed comedians sister
If you don’t happen to subscribe to Glenn Beck’s “The Blaze” newsletter or Web site (GBTV, etc.)....you may not have heard the WORST Progressive story. They actually had one of their lawyers defending a driver....who ran a red light and killed a young woman; a Progressive customer.
All in an attempt to avoid paying on her policy. I s**t you not. Go read about it....it will make your blood boil.
Ever see a close-up pic of that broad?
She’s lookin like road kill.
Well, road kill with way, way too much lipstick!
For the first four times or so I saw her, it was cute and amusing.
Now it’s just grating as hell!
Put her, that stupid lizard, and Godzilla in a cage together. Please!
Wil Wheaton (actor on a Star Trek spin off) helped expose Progressive after seeing it on Twitter.
All of this heartache and trouble over $75,000.
I’ve always thought she was ugly as sin, even on camera with all the makeup. I would be amazed to learn that she wasn’t a carpet muncher.
Basically, Progressive is saying that Matt Fishers facts are wrong and that they sent no attorney. He then responded with another blog post, doubling down and giving the name of Progressive attorney he remembers being there.
I guess thats the end of it, right? Its now Matts word against theirs. Done.
Or, at least, it would be. If this werent 2012 and the Fisher family didnt have the entirety of the Internet on their side. Within an hour of Progressive posting that statement, Internet sleuths went and found the original court records from the trial. And, sure enough
These jerks promote using a transmitter to track your driving habits so you can get a lower rate. They say nothing about using the data to cancel your coverage or raise your rates.
Progressive could fire her then cut rates across the board by 2% for existing customers.
It would be the greatest advertising cop in history! Their phones would be ringing off the hook, and they’d be able to charge what they want!
Put a fork in her! She’s dun already!
Lewis is 79 years old, Soros is 82. At what point will we be rid of these public nuisances?
Add Jimmy Carter on that list.
I have heard Glenn Beck discuss this tragic case yesterday and today. I immediately called my sister who is a Progressive client and told her about this situation. Bill O. had a segment about Progressive and its founder a few years back. They appear to be homo, drug and Lib friendly.
She made me gag the first time I saw her. But apparently the ads are working.
That picture is missing McKayla Maroney’s expression.
I may have a friend insured with Progressive; I should pass along the story.
Government Employee Insurance COmpany is the same way.
I’ve has Allstate for over 10 years, have their best policy, the Premiere Plus, and no other company can come close to what I’m paying on their best day- $163 for 6 months of 50/100 Bodily Injury Liability.
If you need advice on how to qualify for the best rates;
1) Have a Standard vs a Non-Standard Company
2) Have good credit (yes credit levels assign you into different pricing tears)
3) Have a clean record with at least 5 years driving experience & continuous coverage.
4) Have your Bodily Injury Liability at 50/100 or above
AND BINGO. U’LL BE JUST LIKE ME.
Allstate made a seriously unfavorable impression on me years ago when they bitterly fought tooth-and-nail on what should have been an easy claim on a rear-ender accident my fiancee was involved in. Just sayin’.
Who are you with now?
Missouri Farm Bureau.
Thanks. I guess that’s a state-limited thing.
