Sure, a black bench in the sun is a stupid idea. I thought everyone learned around age two to not touch hot things. If you do touch something hot, immediately remove your body part from the hot object. Decide not to do that again.

It this were a metal bench, it wouldn’t be as hot. Not many people know how much heat a stone bench contains. Let the sun go behind a cloud, and the metal bench soon cools off. That stone bench will be hot much longer. Ditto in the winter, much colder. If the temp were down to zero for several days, her bottom would get deep frozen quick,
