.... I try to remember a few things: God's got this. I'll be okay, no matter what. I can always find joy, in any situation by simply acting in God's will. And how do I know I'm acting in God's will, and not mine? If I have no selfish motivations or seek no personal profit -- or any type -- in any outcome, in the choices and decisions I make.
I find the part before personal profit to be most admirable and likely to cause much joy in and around you. I am puzzled by your attitude about profit though. Doesn't G*d want you to be happy? Wouldn't doing His will be profitable?

But here's the very-fine distinction: If you seek to be of service to God, and your motivation is to feel better about yourself or get some form of profit, you still aren't QUITE in God's will. You are close, OH so close. You are at 359o. But if you just click over that one last degree, you will be entirely in God's will, and UNLIMITED power will flow through you.
Being at 359 degrees ain't bad. But that one extra degree makes a big difference.
