Tom wouldn’t know a real machine, otherwise, he wouldn’t support Obama. Just another fool.

“These guys from RATM have always been 100% capitalist, no matter what comes out of their stupid mouths.”

It’s popular and financially rewarding to be a Faux-commie - if it wasn’t you would never have heard of them. He has a communists paradise just around the corner - tell him to go live in CUBA. Of course he won’t as he has all this money and power where he is - thanks to capitalism.

Renegades of funk was not even original. It was sung by Africaan Bambaata with Soul Sonic Force back in 83-84. And it was alot better then. Some remake piece off garbage that RAGE sings can’t hold a candle to the original song. My hip hop lesson of the day Children. DJ White Lightning!

I thought I enjoyed Rage Againt The Machine for a while until I bought their first two albums over ten years ago, and quickly got bored to death. I’ve hated them and their music (as well as System of A Down) for quite a while now. I just bought he new Dying Fetus CD from iTunes last night on the walk home and am really enjoying it.

Prince is very underated, he plays the hell out of the guitar in the song Purple Rain. Short but a sweet rift... IMO

"As someone who has been in Iron Maiden tribute bands for years I can easily say that Tom is a talentless hack. My son agrees."

As a rock guitar slinger of over 40 years myself, I have to completely agree. "Overrated" just doesn't cover it.

The guy is a good guitar player but as a marketing guy he sucks big time. He just pissed away a whole consumer segment of the buying public which is very large part made up of Republicans and Conservatives who, are avid music fans, would actually spend their hard earned money on buying Cd's, DvD’s, and downloading Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, or Nightwatchmen tunes, etc...(bands he works with).

He is shooting for the OWS’er crowd thinking they are bigger set of fans but what he forgets is the OWS’ers don't have any cash and if they wanted some his tunes they would be the first ones pirating downloads or getting pirated Cd's with none of the royalties or proceeds going to him and his bands.

Tom Morllo is “The Dumb Ass Of The Day” when it comes to marketing business decisions.

Plus he is truly clueless when it comes to governing ideology because B.O. is now The Man who wants to really take away freedoms and redistribute Tom's and his band members as well as our-The-People's-Hard-Earned wealth at gun point and it is the commies who enslave their populations at gunpoint. There is a reason no communistic society has every worked it is because they have to kill the majority of their population to stay in power. The dude needs to grow up and his parents need to sue Harvard because they did not give him a decent education.

I quit buying music 20 years ago. I could have bought a nice car for all the money I spent on albums and cds before that. All down the tubes to the recording companies and professional musicians who both promote (then & now) a socialist uprising in America. Musicians, actors and athletes could make so much more money if they just kept their mouths shut when it comes to politics.

These guys from RATM have always been 100% capitalist, no matter what comes out of their stupid mouths. Just more lefties who talk big game, but are totally full of bullshit.
I listen to classical music and some classic rock and have paid for every song I own but I celebrate the music download movement and every penny ripped off from these phoney rich-boy communists.

I was sitting in a dive bar in Slidell, Louisiana one evening, getting bombed as was my habit back then, when that song was popular. I was there on a sales call for a few days. The equally bombed patrons were bellowing along with it on the jukebox, “Redneck Cajun Funk! Redneck Cajun Funk!”

Can anyone name a song they did?

They did the music at the end of the movie, "The Matrix."

Frankly, their music gives me a headache. I'm not really a fan of Tom Morello. It seems most of his stuff that I've heard is a rip off of Adrian Belew (of Zappa/King Crimson fame).

I bet even Prince could play circles around him.

I was actually quite shocked at just what a talented multi-instrumentalist (that freak) Prince is. He's actually a very talented musician/producer/entertainer. I was biased against him from when I saw him on "Don Kirshner's Rock Concert" a few centuries ago, and his stage act disgusted me. It was only within the last couple of years that I saw how talented he really is.

Having been to more than a few Prince shows, I know what you mean, but it’s a pity. The decadent stage persona was largely a schtick for the audience. The man himself was/is self contained to the point of walling himself off from the world and not nearly so show business. Work related travel took me to Minneapolis several times a year back in the early nineties, I actually did a tour of Paisley Park once. There is a sort of brilliance at work in his music that is often overlooked due to the sexualization and other pop culture trappings.

When the Eagle Cries! Awesome rock: Check out Blind Guardian, or their collaborative effort with IE, Demons and Wizards. Hubby and I are currently enjoying the heck out of Black Country Communion (Glenn Hughes, Joe Bonamassa, Jason Bonham, Derek Sherinian). Bonamassa is amazing.

The end of the song “Killing in the Name” is the lead singer for a few minutes yelling “F*** you I won’t do what you tell me!” My buddies and I used to joke when Obama got into office that Rage will change the lyrics to “I love you now please command me.”

Wow, someone who’s never worked for a living bitches about a conservative politician, wow, rare like four leaf clover. Thanks ConservativeStatement.
Morello is a communist who has made millions composing and playing communist agitprop. He does work for a living. So does Paul Ryan who has worked for the government for his entire adult life. Ryan is an idiot for calling communists his favorite band.
