Potentially Devastating News on the Obama Economy
American Thinker ^ | 08/18/2012 | William Tate

Posted on 08/18/2012 9:31:18 AM PDT by NMRed

The Gallup Organization had some bad news for Barack Obama on Friday. It's not that Obama fell behind Mitt Romney by two points in Gallup's daily tracking poll, although that couldn't have helped the the O-Team's spirits heading into the weekend. Between now and the election, polls are likely to be less stable than Joe Biden's thought process. The really bad news for the Chicago mob is that Gallup's unemployment survey shows the Obama economy is getting even worse. Gallup reported an uptick in joblessness in their latest survey of 30,000 households.

"With Gallup reporting on Friday that 1 in 4 American workers are either unemployed or underemployed -- not counting the millions of folks who've given up looking for work -- this is simply devastating news for the guy who said he'd be a one-termer if he didn't fix the economy."

Yeah MSM... let’s not look at the millions of people this ignorant POS has adversely effected since ascending to the undeserved “big boy chair”; instead let’s lament how it effects the reelection poential for the POS that caused the destruction. Pathetic.

Question now is will this administration be able to register (and transport to the polls) enough newly legalized voters in key districts in time.

Never mind the long term effects of minting new legal residents willy nilly, The Won must be returned to office!

Clinton did the same damn thing, and in the process made new citizens out of 60,000 criminals. We're still suffering for that stunt.

It is pretty much certain that there will be no run of great news the MSM can spin into Obama being the protector of the US Economy. That leaves them with “Bush left us such a mess we need 4 more years to fix it”...which doesn’t work as well 4 years later.

To me the key is that it won’t motivate THEIR supporters to go out and vote.

I think we are in for a complete turnout flipflop where Obama loses all the states he gained and then loses Wisconsin and maybe Iowa or New Hampshire much the same way McCain lost VA and NC.

I don't think R&R will get to 60% (I'm predicting 54-56) but I think they will wind up getting over 300EVs.

This line of excuse making is very childish, and I think that Americans have lost respect because of it. If I hired you to turn around my company (after you had insisted that you, and only you had all the answers), and four years later you were still blaming the previous CEO for problems that are apparantly beyond your ability to fix, I would send you packing.

Look, no president comes in with a blank slate. Every one of them comes into office with problems that are years, and sometimes decades in the making. Very few presidents have fallen back on the "it's the previous guy's fault" excuse that Obama contiually uses. Its belies a lack of leadership ability and is extremely un-Presidential. Know this, if he gets re-elected, you can count on four more years of responibility-ducking. It's in the boy-President's make up.

On Dec 21, 2012, Obama will have had a little over a month to stew in his humiliating, crushing and unexpected defeat at the hands of the American people.

He’ll still be Commander in Chief.

He’ll still have the nuclear ‘football’. Just sitting there. Staring at him. Taunting him. Daring him. Double-eaten-dog daring him...

I would like to add that Obama and Reid and most of the media will be telling their followers that what really matters is what tax rate Mitt Romney will end up paying. To them that matters more than anything else and Obama knows it

I assume you agree that Romney will win the McCain states plus easily re-take NC and IN, as well as winning FL, OH and VA (Bush won these 3 states in 2000 and 2004) - thus totaling 266EVs. What other states do you see Romney winning to get to 300+? Are you concerned about Virgil Goode siphoning votes from Romney in VA? And seniors being concerned with Ryan?

Joblessness? Obama just added 1.5 million folks to the mix with his deferred whatever it’s called of illegal immigrant youth up to age 30.

We were out shopping recently and walked past the school supply section of the store. Normally, when school has started back, by 2 weeks into the school year, there are very few school supplies left. This year, the supplies are not all gone. I usually stock up to try to make it through the year without having to purchase anything else unless it’s a poster board for a special project. I bought the bare minimum this year. I could be wrong, but I think I am not alone. The economy is really, really bad. But no worries. We are still burning food for gas. We can all breathe a little easier while sitting at home eating refried beans.

Obama will convince his parasitic base that evil, greedy conservatives are holding on to their ill-gotten gains for the purpose of destroying the economy and making him look bad.

Speaking solely for myself, that's EXACTLY what I've been doing since the POS got elected. I haven't purchased a single NEW item (save for food and clothes) since he won. I've learned to fix things myself (Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Clothes Dryer, Furnace, Lawn Mower and even TV's) to avoid making a major purchase, and cut my montly budget to bare minimum's.

We haven't eaten out since November of 2008. My cars are 4 and 10 years old. The computer I'm typing this on is 6 years old.

I refuse to do *anything* that may boost this economy until that POS is out of the White House, period. I've stuck to it for 45 months now.

Mine's a 1998 (bought new off the showroom floor when the American economy still rewarded hard work and industry).

Just kidding about the bragging part :-)
