Biden will go back on the campaign trail next week with visits to three relatively "safe" Democratic states.Mr. Biden will travel on Tuesday for campaign events in Minnesota, where President Obama leads presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney by an average of 10.5 percentage points in the Real Clear Politics average of polls.
On Wednesday, the vice president will campaign in Michigan, where the Democratic ticket is ahead by an average of 7.7 points. And on Friday, Mr. Biden and his wife, Jill, will attend campaign events in New York state, where Mr. Obama leads Mr. Romney by an average of 25.5 percentage points.

In 1972 Sen. Joseph Biden, the Democrat nominee for vice President, lost his wife and young daughter in a car accident. Losing your family in an auto accident is a gut wrenching tragedy, to be sure. No one underestimates that and no ever blamed Mrs. Biden for the accident.
Right up there with despicable things one human can do to another, is falsely accusing the innocent of a crime. “Bearing false witness” is even in the 10 commandments, but Mr. Biden’s feigned Catholicism doesn’t let that stop him. (snip)
Ex-governor of Virginia Wilder picked up on the “y’all.” His interpretation was that Biden’s use of “y’all” showed that Biden was addressing his remarks to black people. Otherwise he would have said “us.”
This struck me as a headline out of “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”. The job of the President was to distract from those who were really in charge. The job of Biden is to distract from what Obama’s minions or handlers are doing.
