Here's my Lolo.....The highest density of GPS “Lynx locations” are on heavily logged and cutover “Plum Creek” land. Plum Creek land is colored “yellow” on the map.(USFS is green, state is blue).
The dirty little secret of these ridiculous Lynx lawsuits filed by radical enviros is the fact that the “primary prey” of the lynx, the snowshoe hare, prefers living in the young trees found in regenerated clearcuts.
In a bizarre paradox, the USFS has banned the “pre-commercial” thinning of such renerated clearcuts because of Lynx habitat. Maybe Judge Malloy could order the USFS to clearcut tens of thousands of more acres to create more Lynx habitat.
