Some commenter on the local news site here in Denver is blaming the violence on population density in Cook County.
“Cook County, the 2nd most populous county in the US after Los Angeles has 5,217,080 residents, with a population density of 5,515 residents per square mile. It’s population is larger than that of 29 individual US states.
By contrast, Colorado has a population of 5,116,796 and a density of 49 residents per square mile. You’re not even comparing apples to oranges in your assessment. More like comparing fruit to automobiles.”
Ha....the truth is and the Chicago papers and the cops all say the same thing is that the Gangster Disciples leadership has all been killed,retired or locked up. So there are some 600 factions of GD’s trying to take control not to mention all the other gangs who smell an opportunity. There is no one in charge of the criminals here...
