Obama adviser says People magazine ‘equally important’ as national news media outlets

On Sunday’s broadcast of CNN’s “State of the Union,” President Barack Obama’s deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter hinted at what kind of voter the campaign’s media strategy plans to target in the near-term.

While Obama has avoided answering questions from the White House press corps for more than two months now, he has taken on other media outlets for interviews, including People magazine, “Entertainment Tonight” and a New Mexico radio station, where he discussed his taste in music. According to Cutter, making time for those outlets is as important as focusing on traditional media.

“I don’t think that they’re more important, but I think that they’re equally important,” Cutter said. “I think that’s where a lot of Americans get their news. And I think the president’s going to continue doing that. You know, Mitt Romney might have had two media availabilities, but what did he tell you, Jim, in those media availabilities? He told you he wasn’t going to release his taxes because he was afraid of getting attacked. And you know, he spouted off lies [about] the president’s Medicare system. So, do you find that media availability really useful if he is not being transparent about his own policies and distorting the president’s? ”

A “Hollywood” President? That’s what we end up with? This radio interview that he did in New Mexico was something that I’d expect out of some Rap-star or Rodeo-clown. I’d almost be willing to ask Congress to pass a law to forbid interviews like this.

Cutter is a true liberal fascist. She hammers the Prog talking points with no respect for logic or truth. Had the Soviets ever taken over the US, Ms Cutter would have been one of the American collaborators. I can see her in her communist uniform...on television telling the conquered people how they were to behave before the victorious Soviet troops. She's fascist scum.

“The Brain Dead”

Bingo! Looter-class, low-lifes who will vote for the “cool guy” because “he likes beer and so do I.” Whoever keeps the freebies flowing — that’s my man, the Republic be damned.

I'm sorry but ET, et al do not report the news. Hollywood gossip maybe but that's all.

The fact that

Just wait. In a second term when Obie goes full Mugabe, only BET, Jet, Ebony and Essence will have a place at the table.

To paraphrase LBJ’s remark during the Tet offensive , “If we’ve lost CBS (Walter) we’ve lost the election (the war).

The fact that Cutter said. “I think that’s where a lot of Americans get their news.

probably one of the few honest statements to come out of this administration. I would think most of those people would normally vote liberal anyway ... but I think the administration is focused on voter turnout. They almost seemed to have given up on the independents and moderates and are focused on getting as many dumn-asses as they can get

I agree with the president. I can't believe I wrote that. Yes, People, The Enquirer, and all the rumor mill magazines are on the same level of importance and credibility as MSNBC, ABC, CBS and CNN. Actually, that's a little bit of a knock on The Enquirer.

That cinches it for me.

If Obama's IQ is a point higher than 90, I'll eat my hat.

And I don't have a hat.

The White House press corps is pathetic and leftwng, but Obama abandoned campaigning for generic votes a long time ago so they don’t matter to our big-eared Marxist. He’s after the stupid vote. So people magazine, Leno, and Oprah are his venues of choice. His live speeches are usually at schools so his teacher union leeches show up. Etc.

These people focus mostly on “make believe” and think that someday they too will become a famous movie star.

They now have their “make believe” pResident.

These same people believe that they will win the lottery.
