For heaven's sake.... please let the Farm Bill die... The whole thing is a bloated scam... one side is subsidizing white absentee land owners (mid-west farmers) and the other side is subsidizing urban welfare recipients.

The whole thing is a giant scam.... Not one of these groups is willing to address the waste, fraud, and abuse.... The agri-business community wants the corn subsidy, the insurance boys want the crop insurance premiums, and the urban fools want to keep their voter, food stamp fools on the hook.... The whole circus is a fraud. Let the program die. It is a costly fraud.

On a Farm Bill Pie Graph, one skinny little sliver goes to farmers and it appears the bulk goes mainly to SNAP (food stamps). There are a few other slivers that are mainly social programs......
It sure doesn’t seem it will do much of anything to help the drought stricken farmers.

*ANY* sort of bailout is unpopular these days with most people on both sides of the political fence. Opinion is turning against a lot of this - the lefties don’t like it because the bailouts leave what they see as the same old corprocrats in power.

The next party to get the Bailout tag stuck on them is toast. Also, the farmers should have thought of this when they were screaming for the corn ethanol mandate and the corn ethanol subsidies.
