A wounded war veteran and his wife received an emotional surprise when entering a model home and discovering not only their friends and family inside, but musician Kid Rock as well.
Standing before Sgt Davin Dumar and his wife Dana, the musician greeted the couple as they entered what will be a mirror image of the home he plans to help build for them.

You know, he’s OK that Kid Rock, I don’t know too much about him, but I think his heart is in the right place.
Wish more people would do this for our wounded and disabled veterans.
I liked Kid Rock before most of my peers knew who he was. I was channel surfing late one night and came across this crazy guy with a midget in the band doing a combination of rock and rap. When I found out he was conservative, all the better. And Jerry Lee likes him!
Wow! Aint just any home either. Well, that organization and Kid Rock himself are tops in my book!
Thank God for good people. Kid Rock Rocks.
Kid Rock - Rock n Roll Jesus/Only God Knows Why/Born Free - Live @ Orlando Calling 2011 (6:00 - 7:30 on this video shows he is a conservative. He can have a great influence on the younger crowd!)

Pointing to fellow conservative rocker Kid Rock, fiddler-guitarist Charlie Daniels and actor Gary Sinise, Nugent said that conservative celebrities are far more likely to go public with their political views now than in the past though there have been consequences for him in doing so.
I’ve liked him for years. It’s been fun watching him go from hard core rap to southern rock over the years..
Dave Mason is also a conservative and I heard him say in a concert last November that the vets are coming home to a disaster here with no jobs. He has a charity to help the vets get jobs when they return home.

Watching some of the vids on this site will make your heart ....well, let's just say....Proud of the soldiers and their families.
Kid Rock is not the only famous one helping there. There are lots of them.
God Bless our Soldiers and their families. Past and present.
Dave Mason and Work Vessels For Vets

I've been involved in several of these types of benefits for vets. It is very rewarding. The charity of people in our neck of the woods here in Texas is a wonderful thing to see.
John Mayer deserves recognition for his support of the troops, too. His support is prominent on his website.
Yeah, he’s one of the true good guys. Has had it all.....rock/rap star, Pamela Anderson as his ho...countless groupies....touring the world, etc., etc....
Yet...he settled down near his hometown, hangs out with his homeboys; barbecues, etc. Raises the kids. A truly patriotic American. He has been supporting the troops since before it was cool (like few others...Gary Sinise, God bless ‘im, comes to mind).
He has real talent, and he uses his income to help others who are deserving.
I’d buy the sumbitch a drink any time, anywhere. :)
Famous Conservatives meet with the troops: the story is reported Across the Pond.
I totally love Dave Mason. A forgotten song, but oh so magic:

I’ve always liked him. Even more now. Great guy! Great entertainer!
I don’t know his politics and he’s not Led Zeppelin, but that was damn nice of him.
Always liked him too (Sheryl Crow not so much since the toilet paper debacle), good song though...Picture...

Kid Rock, Dave Mason and others:
Feel’in Alright

Very cool.
And the really great thing here, is that Kid Rock probably gets just as much out of it as the injured service man and his family does.
You’ve really got to feel good about yourself, doing something this nice and unselfish for others.
Kudos to Kid Rock.
Kid Rock.....rocks!
The first I had ever heard of him was back in the late 90's I think when a friend of mine told me he met him at a soccer game in Macomb Twp when my friend's kid played Kid's kid in a soccer match.......
As the article states, Kid is very active in charities around this area......
My hair dresser is really into this guy...she’s very hot and he could do worse.
According to her, he has a very compelling life story that shows he’s a real American and supports the troops.
There should be more where he comes from.
It was 1989, my thoughts were short my hair was long
Caught somewhere between a boy and man
She was seventeen and she was far from in-between
It was summertime in Northern Michigan
I’ve been loving that song for quite a while....it’s good cranked up.

I live in Nashville
Watched Kids Ferrari unloaded on west end. A few weeks back
and his love of the local girls...including some younger bluebloods ...is legendary
Heart in right place yes
Settled down....not so much
Not that I blame him
And he’s a Tigers’ fan.
