New Michigan Poll has Romney ahead of Obama (47 to 43%)

WJBK Fox 2 -

Foster McCollum White Baydoun (FMW)B, a national public opinion polling and voter analytics consulting firm based in Michigan and representing the combined resources of Foster McCollum White & Associates (Troy, Michigan) and Baydoun Consulting (Dearborn, Michigan) conducted a telephone-automated polling random survey of Michigan registered and most likely November 2012 general election voters to determine their voting preferences.

In what will be a significant blow to Democratic campaign efforts, native son Mitt Romney has climbed into the lead in Michigan's Presidential contest. The naming of Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan has delivered a targeted affect on the Michigan and Midwest campaign dynamics. We ballot tested the Presidential candidates and we also tested the following two areas of initial campaign impact and awareness:

Congressman Ryan's impact on voters' decision to vote for Mitt Romney. Congressman Ryan's controversial 2012 fiscal budget plan and voters support or opposition to the plan. It is our conclusion that the results to these questions will help initially either validate Ryan's selection or provide messaging for Democrats that Ryan is not acceptable to the voters. As our data outlines, currently Romney and Ryan are received positively enough to help vault Romney into the lead. Our aggregate findings for this section are as follows:

State-wide Aggregate Results (Weighted to projected age, gender & ethnicity of electorate, percentages do not all equal 100%) – 1733 Respondents MOE +/- 2.35%

Question 1:

The 2012 United States Presidential election will be held on November 6, 2012. Who are you more likely to vote for in the election??

(Barack Obama): 43.88%

(Mitt Romney): 47.68%

(Another candidate): 3.96%

(Undecided): 4.01%

“Only an idiot would have thrown a lifeline to McCaskill, and that’s exactly what Akin did.”

No kidding. The guy out-Bidened Biden.

Washington is deep blue. West of the Cascades is so far left it’s budding up against the Chinese coast. Unfortunately, west of the Cascades is where the population centers are, so Washington is lost electorally.

Except the shine from 08 is gone. Obama can talk but no one is listening and the crowds aren’t there for him.

It’s bizarre to think that the GOP could win the Senate races in MA & MI but not MO.

Perhaps the GOP should pay Akin to go away.

It seems that every cycle we get polls that show the GOP doing well in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Washington. Then the GOP spends time and money on them, only to lose by 5 - 7 %

If the candidates don't have their own pollsters, conducting real polls, suggesting the best places to commit resources, well, candidates that don't are incompetent boobs. They don't deserve to win anything.

I doubt even the Minneapolis Star and Tribune would accuse Romney of being incompetent.

Things were looking great until a Idiot Akin opened his Mouth
_____________________________________________________________

I’m so angry at Todd Akin right now. I cannot tell you how angry I am. But, I really don’t think the Dems will be able to hang Akin around Romney’s neck. He’s an unknown hick from Missouri that, even now, 90% of America doesn’t even know who he is.

I figured you would be rejoicing over the Akin deal napscoordinator. That’s o.k. We will overcome this, and the person who will be hurt the most over this is Todd Akin. Right now, he is one of the most hated men in America. He will lose his Senate bid, he will NEVER AGAIN be reelected to Congress and he will be looked upon with disdain for the rest of his life. He could have stepped down for the good of The State of Missouri and the country, and had a legacy of respect and honor; but, he’s too ignorant to know that. He really thinks he can still win, but, after Nov. 6, he’ll be sitting at home, islolated, with his ugly old lady and homely kids.

This Todd Akin thing will blow over. We’ll lose a sure Senate seat in MO that was in our lap, but, it will NOT play out nationally. This too shall pass.

I praise people who stand up for their principles as Akin’s has done. He is probably a better man than 99 percent of Congress who would not fight for the murdered children that most could cares less about. How anybody could blast a pro-life conservative patriot is beyond me. No wonder folks continue to cheerlead Romney. It is CLEAR that most here are not conservative.

Obama’s campaign is already essentially broke.

He has 92 million in the bank with 2.3 million in debt. Romney has 77 million in the bank with zero debt. I don’t think any of them are hurting.

People like napscoordinator and Todd Akin aren’t Conservative. They’re ignorant, holier-than-thou, hicks. They don’t realize how ignorant they look to the rest of the world.

Ignorant? Your the one talking behind my back which is 100 percent against FR rules.

Actually, it's not. There are three rules.

1. No violence
2. No personal attacks
3. No racism

If there were a 4th, I wish it could be: Learn the difference between "your" and "you're" and use them correctly.

Corrupt moderators keep changing my “tag line !

FR moderators have no power to change someone's tag line. We can only FReepmail you or ask you on-thread to do such. You must have fatfingered your own tagline when you posted, and being the conspiracy-monger that you are, blame us instead of yourself.

We can only pull a post with an offending tag line. Just as we will pull any post of yours from nutbar cources such as John Moore. Still waiting for your mea culpa about your insanely over-the-top alarmism about August 17th. But I doubt we'll get one.

And your claim that FR moderators are corrupt? That's a joke. We are volunteers and don't get paid. I know some of the conspiracy-mongers like to claim we must be infiltrators doing the beck and call of the Bild-a-burgers, but we're not. We're all long-term conservative FReepers. We just believe in vetting the veracity of sources, something we've learned over the years on FR. And many of your sources reek.
