LINCOLN, Neb.Police say a former University of Nebraska women's basketball star faked an attack in which she allegedly carved anti-gay slurs into her skin because she felt it would spark change. Lincoln Police Chief Jim Peschong said Tuesday that 33-year-old Charlie Rogers outlined her motive for the faked July 22 attack in Facebook postings four days earlier.
Peschong says Rogers wrote:
"So maybe I'm too idealistic but I believe way deep inside me that we can make things better for everyone. I will be a catalyst. I will do what it takes. I will. Watch me."
Rogers, a lesbian, told police three masked men attacked her in her home and carved anti-gay slurs in her skin.
Rogers was charged Tuesday with making a false police report.

Fake attacks are more common than real attacks with the gays.
All sexual deviancies are mental illness: faking “hate crimes” is just one symptom of the whole disgusting mess.
Gee, this never happened before.
How foolish do all those people feel who came out with sympathy for a “hate crime” victim? How many people did she get money out of for her cause for change? How how many high schools are now homosexually grooming the student body behind the excuse of ending the hate this fraud suffered?
Freepers called it!
I think this makes the second story to make the MSM this year where the supposed gay victims have outright lied!
Just like Obama and his administration the face of Gay Activism is one big LIE!
How about that, a “cutter” with a cause...
I along with a lot of other Freepers called “hoax” from the get-go. (Not that you need to be clairvoyant to predict hate crime hoaxes; they’re much more common than the real thing.)
Change we can deceive in!
The grievance industry has become a self-contained system - it no longer needs actual discrimination to function.
Can we replace “phonier than a two dollar bill” with “phonier than a homosexual hate crime” yet?
Yes, you sure did - and I and others. How stupid do they think we and the FBI are? I am getting sick and tired of these infantile people who think the world is their playground. I say enough already.
Yep, that’s Charlie. (Seriously, her name is Charlie) grrrr
That’s a good one - yeah, that is more fitting and its time for change. :-)
“Spark change” is liberal code for resulting in a flurry of anti-homo legislation. This woman is sick to the core and needs to be fully prosecuted. And I see she’s already got the fashion sense for prison.
That guy looks like Kurt Cobain.
Homosexuality is a mental illness, this is more evidence of it.
Yes - and even more than a mental illness, it is a state of arrogance and narcissism. This proves that, too.
Yes, Charlie will fit right in. And it is inexcusable arrogance to spark change through lies and deceit. Throw the book at her.
She should receive the same punishment her phantom attackers would have received, had they been real.
I agree 100%.
I know you meant "pro-homo legislation," and I agree with you. It happened to us here in Ft. Worth in 2009. Police, with TABC agents, conducted a legitimate bar check at a "gay" bar and were confronted by angry homos who were indignant that they were being "raided" on their high-holy day of "gay liberation." Several drunk bar patrons were arrested, a few for assault on the police, and the stage was set for screams of "police brutality" and "hate crimes." The city literally bent over for them in the legal fallout.
It's all about you, darlin.'
Gee whiz, I certainly NEVER saw that coming!!! I’m truly shocked that it was a fake story. And I so believed this unfortunate woman was telling the truth. I mean, who wouldn’t believe her cockamamie er I mean sad story...just because virtually every so-called hate crime like hers had also been proven to be a hoax. (snicker)
So is this a case of illegitmate rape?
She faked the attacked?!
Color me shocked!!
Its getting harder for them to pull these off.
As I recall from the Dummy Funnies a few months ago, even a lot of the moonbats were skeptical.
Yep, never mind the lies, deceit, waste of law enforcement time. Narcissism is at the crux of the LGBT rights agenda.
lol, looks like ;-)
“The grievance industry has become a self-contained system - it no longer needs actual discrimination to function.’
So has the “Perpetually Offended” industry.
So this was not a “legitimate” attack?
No mental instability there!
Ha, anything but ;-)
This will plastered all over the network news for weeks on end. /s
It was indeed a hate crime. She was trying to frame 3 heterosexual males. Supposing 3 men had been detained - she would likely have identified them.
And she was trying to make the heterosexual community look criminal.
That which is foolish may also be evil.
I think it’s at least the fourth well publicized gay hate crime hoax just this year.
The college lesbian who was putting hate notes under her own dorm room door.
The two lesbians who spray painted the outside of their own house.
The gay guy who said he got “gay bashed” outside of a bar, but it turned out he injured himself doing backflips on the sidewalk.
Plus this one makes four, that I’ve heard about. I have to assume the hoaxes are much more common than the actual hate crimes, because every well publicized anti-gay “hate crime” turns out to be a hoax.
I think you’d have to go back to Matthew Shepard to find a nationally publicized anti-gay “hate crime” that wasn’t a self-inflicted hoax. Even in that case, I don’t think there was any real evidence offered that bias or bigotry motivated the crime.
Yes—it is classed a misdemeanor and that is not going to end it. :(
Wow! I didn't remember those others. These people are loonies! It gives the straight gays a bad name!
No, because two-dollar bills are legitimate currency in the United States. I'm guessing you meant "three-dollar bill?"
To liberals there is NOTHING they will not do to further their agenda.
I wonder how many gays are going to denounce her. I’ll bet the silence is deafening.
It’s already deafening. And maddening...
