Skip to comments.Boxer: Akin is the symptom, but Ryan and Romney are the disease

Rep. Todd Akin's controversial comments about rape and abortion aren't just for Missourians to mull in their Senate race -- they're typical of a mindset that pervades and perverts the entire GOP, U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer said Tuesday.
"It's deeper than one Republican congressman -- it goes all the way to the top of the Republican ticket," she said. "The truth is there's a war against women, and it's not going to end until we all say at the polls, 'That's not the country we want.'"
Boxer, D-Calif., used her previously scheduled speech to Planned Parenthood Advocates Mar Monte at San Jose City Hall to try to ensure that the furor over Akin's comments tarnish presumptive GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney and his running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan. "The mainstream of the Republican Party is now extreme on women's health," she said.
"There is a war against women, and Romney and Ryan -- if they are elected -- would become its top generals," Boxer said, urging the audience to remember the days when desperate women and girls died in botched, back-alley abortions. "We cannot go back."

No, there is a war against unborn babies.
Come on, citizens, the Republicans are getting hammered on this and are fast losing control of the dialogue. This is not good.
Ms Classy submits her opinion.
The “war on women” meme is already old. I think everyone (except them) sees right through it.
Boxer is an expert on diseases.
Romney is an irrelevant eunuch ... Atkin just proved it.
Awwww. More panicking from the FR peanut gallery.
Go have a drink and get a grip.
I asked myself what a legitimate rape would be. The obvious answer would be one different from that described in the Tawana Brawley non-rape case or the Duke LaCross Team non-rape.
I see “box of rocks” got her memo from the DNC.
"The presumptive Republican Todd Akin presidential nominee dropped by Todd Akin the Houstonian for lunch on Todd Akin Tuesday and departed Todd Akin less than an hour later Todd Akin with about $6 million Todd Akin in his campaign money bags.
On a fundraising Todd Akin swing through Texas before Todd Akin the start of the Todd Akin Republican National Convention next Todd Akin week, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney Todd Akin told a luncheon gathering Todd Akin of about Todd Akin 125 people that his No. 1 Todd Akin priority as president Todd Akin would be "to take full advantage of Todd Akin our energy resources."
Romney assured his Todd Akin listeners at the high-dollar fundraiser Todd Akin, that he tells Todd Akin Ohio audiences the same Todd Akin thing he tells Texas audiences Todd Akin about the importance Todd Akin of energy. He also said Todd Akin he would be introducing Todd Akin a comprehensive energy Todd Akin plan during a visit Todd Akin to New Mexico Todd Akin next week.
"I want Todd Akin to take advantage of oil Todd Akin, gas, coal, renewables Todd Akin, nuclear, all of the Todd Akin above in a Todd Akin very aggressive way," Romney Todd Akin said.
The former Todd Akin Massachusetts governor was introduced by Todd Akin Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, who was Todd Akin high on the vice-Todd Akin-presidential list before Romney's choice of Wisconsin Todd Akin Congressman Paul Ryan. In his introductory Todd Akin remarks, Portman told Romney Todd Akin that a recent Todd Akin poll suggested that the race in Todd Akin Ohio was neck-and-Todd Akin-neck. "The resources Todd Akin being raised here Todd Akin today will help us take Todd Akin you over the top," he Todd Akin said."
Somebody should ask Barbara Boxer how many OWS rapes there were, and what the pregnancy rate for those rapes were...
And maybe ask her how many of the Planned Parenthood sites in Lila Rose’s undercover work actually obeyed the law and reported statutory rape that resulted in pregnancy...
Maybe ask her why all the authorities overlooked that abortionist butcher who had baby parts in his refrigerator and blood all over the place...
Or maybe ask her about the little girls that Obama insisted must be left to die in a laundry basket if their mothers didn’t want to be “burdened” by providing care for them after they were born alive in a failed abortion...
Or.... maybe ask her about Lara Logan and others like her, who were raped by the “Arab Spring” folks. Or the Christian girls who are now being kidnapped, raped, and forcibly “converted” to Islam, by these same folks - the Muslims that Obama said he would always stand by...
Or.... maybe ask about Obama who had as a staged part of one of his speeches in the 2008 election flipping the bird at both Hillary and Palin, but not any of the men...
There IS a war against women. I hope and pray that the American public isn’t too stupid to see who’s really waging it though.
Boxer is a human yeast infection.
Boxer is an STD
“Senator, marijuana’s the flame, heroin’s the fuse, LSD is the bomb.”
That this broad is a U.S. Senator and not a cashier at a K-mart is a miracle of “social justice”. Or something!
Yeast infection can be cured ... the Boxer disease can’t. LOL!
Very well stated.
Well, Fancy Nancy, I form the debate like this...
The truth is there's a war against the murder of defenseless children in the womb.
