The topic of Obama and his teleprompters (one of which was stolen a year ago, causing a public appearance delay) has been so pervasive in the "counterculture" that it led to the creation of the term TOTUS. But it wasn't until today that TOTUS officially became part of the mainstream media lexicon courtesy of this slideshow via Reuters, which should explain just who pulls the strings.

Local talk show host Jeff Bolton (KLIF - Dallas) used to have “Totus” call in on the show for a conversation. Funniest radio skit I’ve ever heard.

Sadly, KLIF recently reformatted and basically got rid of everything good ... including Bolton. I don’t listen to them anymore.

One wonders now if CNN’s Candy Crowley, PBS’s Jim Lehrer and CBS’s Bob Schieffer who will ‘moderate’ the upcoming debates are preparing their questions for Obama’s Teleprompter whilst simultaneously figuring out how to fit “rich bastard, tax-evading, Mormon woman-killer” into each question for Rommey.

We need a Teleprompter Assault Team — to disable or reprogram the screens when the TOTUS is speaking. An inside job, of course.

Just think of all the “you didn’t build that” personal expressions we’d hear if the screens went blank.

Or better yet, if our team could figure some way to tap into the data feed, we could have Obummer read something thoroughly outrageous and hilarious, such as birthday wishes for Chairman Mao or effusive praise for Breitbart and Donald Trump.

The possibilities are endless!
