Switzerland objects to portrayal as a tax haven in Obama ads

The Obama campaign's ads against Mitt Romney's foreign holdings have rubbed the government of Switzerland the wrong way.

The famously neutral country confirmed to POLITICO they have raised the issue with President Obama's Chicago campaign.

Swiss embassy spokeswoman Salome Ramseier says that it "has communicated with the Obama campaign headquarters to object to the ads giving the impression that simply having a Swiss bank account means that the accountholder is trying to hide money from the IRS."

Yes, because Switzerland is no longer a “tax-haven.”

The Swiss have sold out their independence to the US Treasury and IRS, so their big banks can continue to be allowed to play with the other children on Wall Street.

It was a pretty god haven for all that looted NAZI gold for decades and decades though.

I wonder if the Swiss like most foreign countries still love Obama like they did during the 2008 campaign?

Now that the Swiss banks are open to the IRS and the US Govt, who are the “swiss” banks now? Has anybody else filled their old niche?

It’s clearly not enough that Obama’s crew make over the United States into some sort of socialist sh*t hole like the USSR in its worst days; they want to make over the whole planet on that model, too.
