“What if he WINS?”
*****************************
What if Barry Goldwater and Ronald Reagan resurrect from the dead and win as a President’/Vice-President write-in candidate team? I’d be very happy, but I honestly don’t think it’s not going to happen.

So why the push to get him out???

For one reason, because he gives democrats fuel for their bogus "War On Women" campaign and by keeping it alive moves the debate from jobs, the economy and Obamacare.

Right now Akin is helping democrats more than Obama himself.

Sorry, corrected the double negative.

“Right now Akin is helping democrats more than Obama himself.”

Why can’t people see this? His remarks reflect his core beliefs people. This was not a mistake it is who he is and somethings can’t be taken back.

I will withhold my vote if I were living in MO. He’s not ready for the senate, no matter how long he’s been in the House

So that is what this is all about. You all just don't want him in the Senate.

It's not that he can't win. It's that he can win. And that is what you don't want.

Maybe.

I took his comment to refer to forcible rape as opposed to statutory rape. It’s questionable science, but he might be right.

I go back to the baby’s cry I heard when going into Wal-Mart. We have come to be a country that butchers babies. This is not OK.

I hope Akin wins, but I think he Macaca’ed himself out of the Senate! Remember what happened to George Allen in Virginia.

If you screw up in front of the media and you let them turn you into a “serial explainer” you're done! He didn't let the media turn him into a “serial explainer” he volunteered!
Each explanation was lamer then the previous one!

(What I was referring to in my previous post) “I just came in from work and a quick errand. I went to Wal-Mart, and the 1st thing I heard there was a baby crying.

Akin is correct (Note: See next sentence). For statutory/otherwise forcible rape, abortion should be authorized—especially in cases of a mother’s life truly being at stake. When I was young, this is the way it was. In fact, women would die, rather than giving up their unborn babies, in favor of the baby.

What have here are both parties saying abortion is OK. What is law is that the taking of so-called ‘unborn’ life is A-OK up to and after birth, even to the point of letting babies born from abortion to wither and die alone in some trash heap or on some stainless steel table somewhere.

In 0bama’s inaugural, he mentioned the word ‘life’ twice, both from a historical perspective. NOWHERE did he affirm the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

It’s ok to butcher people. The question now remains what age and which group.

Sex as pass time. Sex as fun. Sex without repercussions...at all.”

My vote: Akin should withdraw in favor of a conservative who has not committed a fatal gaffe.

Unfortunately for those who share your opinion, he didn't withdraw, so now what?

Not to digress, but the liberal media ALWAYS highlight Conservatives making gaffes and practically ALWAYS call them fatal. They also downplay Liberal gaffes which many should be fatal.

The thing that Republicans have NEVER learned to do is make lemonade out of lemons. Republicans always seem to be poor at damage control. They don't know how to circle the wagon.

I don't live in Missouri, so frankly, I don't care much what happens except that an honest, forthright Conservative wins there. Now that Akin has vowed to stay in, I pray to God he wins. If someone else comes in to run a Conservative third party, I hope they have enough time to campaign and win; and not inadvertently split the Conservative votes for McCaskill to win.

You nailed it!

It's not right, and smacks of hypocrisy (right vs. left), but it is political reality today.

“but I honestly don’t think it’s not going to happen.”

Well, a baby’s life for a country’s life. Maybe they ARE equal.

But to take a life is simply a question of criteria. Forcible euthanasia, undesirables...... coming if 0bama and the Party of Death win.

Maybe it really will come down to the “Life” part of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Seems the Establishment GOP wants to make sure the pro-life issue does not surface. We need to be all RINOs now even choicers. This race has to all about money not social issues.

Santorum said some really dumb stuff; he was still supported by most talkers. If the man doesn’t get out, get behind him so we can beat the woman. Beat her with anyone. You would think that the Gop-e and the talkers would had thought this through. The talkers and TV pundits have blown this way out of proportion. The damage has been done by them more so. You would think Aiken was for gay marriage or child porn. Romney Ryan and the others running for seats want to distance themselves for political purposes. George Allen, of all people should understand about opening mouth inserting foot. They are afraid because they want a job/job security and the promise of repealing Obamacare will be difficult with political correct politicians. Not a bright outlook if we divide the votes and go third party in Mo.

And you think that will all go away magically if he resigns??? Surely thou jest??? It was there before and it will be there after.

Romney has already distanced himself from Akin's remarks. Isn't that enough??? Surely he meant it and can persuade the media that he did.

It’s not that the war on women theme would go away.

It’s that he makes the theme more credible.

If the herd wants Akin out, it’s probably OK if he stays in. If the GOP sabotage his campaign, we can thank THEM for the loss.

What if he WINS?

Even before that, what if October rolls around and he's ahead or within spitting distance? Will the GOPe keep giving him the cold shoulder? Will Rove refuse to spend money? Or will they start supporting Akin again? What impact would that have on Romney's race if Obama can use Akin's remarks against him?

Well now we're getting someplace. So it isn't his remarks that were the faux pas. He is the faux pas.

The GOP establishment just doesn't want him in the Senate.

It appears that Scott Brown is seeking the best way out with a run into the arms of the abortionists.

Scott Brown presses Republicans to be ‘more inclusive’ on abortion

Brown blasts back: I am a pro-choice Republican

I think the “moderate republicans” are making it clear they do not care about social conservatives and our fight. It's time to think about divorce. We can start with a separation and see what the gop and romney does. If we see he keeps going left (since the primary is over) he is no longer really pro-life as when he said. He had that story about how bad he felt when he got the bill on his desk approving stem cell research and how it opened his eyes how wrong that was. Well, the feeling is gone and he must have put on blinders because he is now for abortion for rape and incest. That babies should be punished for what there bio dad did right? Now gay adoption is ok with him too now. What will it be next month? He has to move more left to get the democrats. Maybe he will go with amnesty.

The attack on Akins was all about cleaning house and getting rid of social conservatives and their old fashioned beliefs in God. The gop-e have their paid radio talk show host (who work for clear channel which is owned by Bain Capital) doing their dirty work.

The New Republican party Immediately right of the socialist. (there now what the democrats use to be)

Santorum is a good example. Talkers stuck by him right up until he...LOST. I’m glad Santorum got beat because he, like Akin is not able to pause for a second before he opens his mouth and gives his enemies a stick to beat him with. Akin and Santorum both seem like fine men, and I like their social politics but they are lousy candidates. MO has the opportunity to run almost any conservative and win or they can lose with this guy. Easy choice.
