A Lubbock County, Texas, judge is asking for a tax increase to hire deputies for the inevitable civil war he believes would follow President Obama's re-election.
The way he puts it, Judge Tom Head wants to prepare for the "worst", which to him means "civil unrest, civil disobedience" and possible "civil war", according to a report from Fox 34 Lubbock
Judge Tom Head and Commissioner Mark Heinrich told the station this week that a 1.7 cent tax increase for the next fiscal year was necessary to prepare for many contingencies, including Obama's re-election. He also mentioned to the station that the county needs a pay increase is needed for the district attorney's office and more funds to pay for more sheriff's office deputies.

Contrary to the “media’s” propaganda, there are still a lot of Americans living in this country and they aren’t in a very good mood. The judge is probably right. I don’t think they are ready for four more years of Barry.

Civil Unrest to the point of Civil War is exactly what the handlers of Obama have been angling for all along. Divide the people, make one group hate another. If and when people start taking to the streets - or his community organizers stage some kind of street scene - Obama’s calls out his private army and new “emergency” powers. The Marxists who organized the Haymarket Riots literally hoped and counted on some of their own useful idiots getting attacked and killed. Inciting law enforcement to act against “poor innocent young people” was also the goal of the campus takeovers of the 60s.
I’d be much more concerned over the Obazombies marching en masse if he fails to be re-elected, but it’s a stretch to say either is credibly a threat.

Looked at the dude’s duties which include emergency management. He has probably been getting WH administration memos saying the same thing. We know they have been putting stuff out like that ever since the Tea Party got started.
Every media shill in the country is now trying to run with this story. He is a small time, small town judge but that won’t stop them. They have to help Obama get another term no matter what.

For contrast, _my_ county has under 30k. Lubbock County is over 900 sq. mi Mine is a tad over 800 sq. miles.
So, from my POV, this is not a *small town*.
This is obviously related to Sheriff Mack and the County Sheriff Project. It is basic US Constitutionalism. I am reading a lot of reasoned and positive comments all over the web, including on non-conservative sites. The CV of the Sheriff, for example, is very impressive and professional. The County Judge is an administrative law judge, as County Judges are. Having Emergency Management creds is a plus. I know some Emergency Management folks in a couple of localities and they are very organized, often retired military and probably would be right at home with any prepper.
The DA doesn’t have a bio or CV on this site, and it is too late to go looking.
This is not one crackpot individual in some small village.
I am pretty sure there are other Sheriffs, Judges and DAs out there making similar preparations. These are elected positions, so one would expect them to be locally representative. Just a hunch, but if these men are correct about riots &/or revolution,it is going to become pretty difficult to ignore.

I don’t think the man is wrong that it is going to get bad potentially no matter who wins at this point. But my guess is that the first shots in any war are going to come from the Marxist side. I was just noticing that the media is running with this man’s comments, trying to make our side look like a bunch of nuts. If Obama wins, the next stop is impeachment. We better hope we take the senate and hold the house!!
Well, it _is_ news and I am not finding that many folks who think it is extreme, just FWIW.
Personally, I don’t think things will start out with Federal troops or foreign mercs from the UN firing on the populace. I rather think of things like Regional SWATs coming in to inventory factories, farms and warehouses of all sorts, dictating some level of confiscation if unrest/weather events/oil & gas shortages/high prices closes down roads or other transport and perhaps making offers that cannot be refused in payment for whatever they take to redistribute under cover of Martial Law declarations. In a case such as that, I would want my County elected officials to stand up for my rights. If various factions (and that includes hot-headed real idiots on any side)decide to riot or loot, again, I would want trained, well-supplied local forces responding.
The MSM will spin anything, any way they can to make *us* look bad and *them* look reasonable or even heroic. I don’t think most people will fall for that, today. Progressives also own businesses, have families and will be thinking of their own safety. Just publicizing that the legal authorities in any given area will respond judiciously could tamp down unrest before it starts.
Once anything begins, everyone in the area will know who started it and who controlled it. So, the heck with media. If this little old lady is reassured by this County’s preparations, I am likely not alone. All the other little old ladies I know voted locally for the Sheriff, judge and DA we thought would protect us from whatever, from gangs to the Feds. Out here in a rural area, we are all related, neighbors or friends with manufacturers and farmers. It rarely becomes a case of thoughtless labeling or *rich vs. poor*. It is more a case of security vs. anxiety. These issues were discussed openly last year during the local elections and that included the County Board and Town Council, even with a lot of Marxists around here.
BTW, credible local reports are that the Marxists have organized,armed, have been training for years to protect and provide for themselves, too. They supposedly are mostly concerned with their own safety and personal security of their own supplies, just as the conservatives are. The major differences I am aware of are that the collectivists have actually set up organizing committees to inventory skills in their community and they have actual lists and communication trees in force, while the rest of us simply have made informal arrangements among our own networks of friends, neighbors and relatives. When SHTF, there is a lot of common ground regarding priorities IRL.
