Obama: Akin "somehow missed science class"

(CBS/AP) -- President Obama weighed in on Missouri Senate candidate Todd Akin's controversial comments about "legitimate rape" Wednesday, mocking Akin by saying he "somehow missed science class."

"The interesting thing here is that this is an individual who sits on the House Committee on Science and Technology but somehow missed science class," Mr. Obama said at a fundraiser in New York City Wednesday night. "But it's representative of a desire to go backwards instead of forwards. And fights that we thought were settled twenty, thirty years ago."

Please leave Todd, yeah we all know you have two years to get your juicy congressional pension, but is it worth it for you to put yourself above us?

Leaving Akin aside for a moment, could Obama be more arrogant or immature? I suppose the answer is yes, but each day he outdoes himself. The upside is that most Americans have awakened to the brattiness the Bamster simply cannot contain. And they are embarrassed he is charge of the once greatest country on earth.

Obama: Akin "somehow missed science class"

...says the man that thinks there are 57 states.

...and can't spell OHIO!

Akin is in all for himself, and not for the country.

Akin is radioactive. The commie press will repeat his insane remark 24 hours a day every day until he’s gone, using it to try and tar every other Republican in 2012 and to avoid having to report on the economy and Obama’s record in general. This is what the commie media have been waiting for: a way to define Republicans as extremist nut jobs, and Akin is their perfect storm. I don’t care who he is or what he stands for, Akin has simply got to go. Period.

I just ran across the figure that 36,000 women a year become pregnant from rape. I don’t know the original source or whether it included statutory. I also heard elsewhere that about 1/2 are terminated with abortion.

Like Obama said, Akin is a member of the House. At any rate, there's nothing you can do to stop the media from referring to his remarks, twisting them, and using them to try and hurt Republicans. If the Republican campaign was depending on the liberal media and the Democrats NOT attacking us, then, bad plan. Here's a thought...go on the offensive against the libs!

Barack Obama let Roman Polanski walk because Whoopi Goldberg assured him it wasn’t “rape rape” when he drugged a 13 year old and sodomized her.

Sodomy doesn’t result in pregnancy, does it?

And how does one go on the offensive against such terms as "legitimate rape", and such theories that a female reproductive system shuts down during rape.

If you have the answer the Todd Akin campaign will pay you a million dollars.

Good. His ego is properly placed. He has a record as a true-believing conservative who doesn't, when the GOP establishment says "jump," ask "how high?" His voting record shows true independence from the GOP power brokers and true conservatism. He is EXACTLY what we need in the Senate.

And you really believe that sacrificing Akin will silence these bastard? They'll just move on to the GOP platform plank tying that to Akin as well. You got rid of Akin now change the plank.

A Harpy

A Bedwetter

A ProAbort Liberal

A Yellow Bellied RINO

A regular variation RINO

All because they are opposing the guy that the Democrats are happily supporting, even financially. Wow.

"You’re doing a fine job now working for McCaskill." Actually so far Akin has been looking like he's working for McCaskill. He's done a great job reviving her politically and giving her another 6 year term in the Senate.

It makes sense though, she did spend a good $2 million on him, which is turning out to be the best $2 million any candidate has ever spent.

Once his use of getting McCaskill elected, he will be dropped by the democrats. Akin was a backbencher GOPer, and they saw a perfect target. He is now getting all the attention, and he loves it, he thinks with his you know what but not with his his brain. If he stays in the race and loses, he loses and doesn't get his juicy pension, but he(Todd Akin) will always have the interview with Matt Lauer to remember.
