Yesterday, I saw a post by an Akin supporter in which Mark Levin and Sarah Palin were included in the list of GOP elitists/RINOs; LOL!
At this point, it does not matter what Akin does. This seat is lost. At least the GOP will not be throwing good money after bad to support him.
We got Lugar’s old seat in play in Indiana.
“It’s a negative bump. We see bumps all the time. They level out......”
You may have your head firmly planted in the same stretch of sand that Akin has firmly buried his head. I see that you’re posting your list of bullet points in many threads.
It’s interesting to see that someone who, based upon his/her posts on this forum, wants to do everything possible to discourage votes for the Republican presidential/vice presidential ticket is now also doing everything in his/her power to keep a sure loser on the ticket as the Republican candidate in Missouri—a state where it should have been a piece of cake to defeat the Democrat incumbent.
Is your current “glee level” as high as that of the folks who are OPENLY in the McCaskill camp?
He’s probably killing Romney’s chances in MO as well. Hope the self-serving POS is happy.
If he waits too long, the courts become more problemmatic.
My sense is that the GOP is strong enough in Missouri to force a court to let him off the ballot — but not at the last minute.
He needs to go, now.
I can’t stand these selfish people who think they are on some mission from God. God doesn’t give a damn who the senator is from Missouri. It is up to us.
Absolutely he will. They're not going to run to the polls to vote for Akin.
He destroyed himself and should blame him only. Because of this buffoon, we may lose Congress and Senate seat.
I am still offended by his comment, those who were on fence may move to different direction.
I once handed my boss (whom I hated) a stack of files that she had requested. Little did I know, in the stack was a file of my personal job search (resume, cover letters that I had just sent out looking for another job).
In about an hour, she called me into her office, handed me my personal file and said, “I don’t think you meant to give me this.”
It was a mistake. It cost me my job. I was a single mom raising two children. It sucked.
Good people make career mistakes and this is the mother of them all. It is time to go, Todd.
Well, it's partially a cocoon - there are people who literally never have any personal interaction on a day-to-day basis with moderates, independents, or democrats - and partially simply delusional fantasy.
well said :)
“don’t blame Akin”??????
No, when a guy says something this stupid in the middle of a crucial campaign, I blame him.
It won't. The only surprising aspect of this is that it's this close. Someone needs to convince Akin that God wants him to drop out.
The idiot is crowing on Twitter right now about raising a whopping 100,000 dollars, which may get him a couple of spots at 3 a.m. on the Knitting Channel. He really is delusional.
If this poll was taken after his retraction he’s in a very bad way.
Whether he stays in or not was probably decided last night:
Rep. Todd Akin was in Tampa Wednesday night meeting with top conservative groups and donors, several sources confirmed to POLITICO.
The embattled Missouri Senate candidate flew to Tampa to meet with members of the Council for National Policy, a secretive coalition of powerful conservative and evangelical leaders, activists, and donors...
I find it amazing after Akins stupid comments that McCaskill still cannot even break 50% and leads by just 10.
Many here will not believe this but Akins numbers will improve from here and should he not drop out (I hope he does) he may still win. Sometimes people will vote against someone they dislike intensely (McCaskill) as much as they will vote for someone they like.
Well, yes, and the McCaskill people are going to feed him just enough money to stay alive - until the September hammer.
This guy is probably too stupid to even realize that.
The only hope in a dim court denying Akin to drop out is that abuse of the judicial system might provoke a backlash.
