The topic of Stand Your Ground Gun Laws has been in the news a lot in recent months due to all the media coverage given to the Trayvon Martin / George Zimmerman case. Because of this, we decided to take it upon ourselves to put together an infographic that breaks down exactly what the Stand Your Ground Gun Laws include, Where different states fall with regards to adoption of these laws, and some additional stats related to firearm related violence. We hope you enjoy this graphic and share it with your friends!

You don't have to take anything lying down. You don't have to have yourself open, vulnerable to being victimized- twice. Once by some petty perpetrator and second by an overzealous, left-wing gun hating DA out to make a name for themselves.

Arm yourself by any means necessary. If it's not by our constitutionally-bestowed right to own a gun, then by all means arm yourself with the knowledge of 'stand your ground' laws in your state.

Don't let the MSM, left-wing gun-haters, race-baiters ruin your life, turn you into a George Zimmerman.

KNOW THE STAND YOUR GROUND LAW IN YOUR LOCAL AREA

Actually, depending on the state, the castle doctrine and stand your ground laws are effectively the same thing. Here in Michigan you don’t have to be in your home to stand your ground. Courts simply aren’t going to convict if its a clear defensive shooting out in public.

On the other hand, some states may be far more picky about it

Illinois’ “number of robberies involving a firearm” is the second lowest in the nation at 1.85 per 100,000 population???

Somebody’s cookin’ those numbers.

The New York rate at 12.97 smells fishy too.

New Mexico law requires you to retreat? Doesn’t sound like the New Mexico I know.

I’m not sure how accurate this chart is. It says Iowa is a retreat state and that’s not true anymore. From what I’ve been told we now have the Castle Doctrine. So we no longer have to run away if someone breaks into our house.

We are working on Constitutional carry and stand your ground.

Surprised to see that VA has the bend-over-and-spread’em law.

That’s because the Virginia Citizens Defense League has held out for legislation that gives them the provisions they want. This organization is highly effective and I’m sure that they will in the end provide us with the laws that give us good protection from criminals.
