I said “conservative,” not “Republican.”

Yes, 2016 to take Obama’s place.

I keep seeing this popping up. Marriage is not solely a biblical concept. The ancient Greeks had marriage, as did the Romans, the Chinese, the Japanese, Indians (of both stripes) and just about every culture from antiquity forward. Marriage predates Christianity by a wide margin, and existed in cultures that span the globe long before Christianity spread beyond the Middle East and Europe.

Actually the first historical reference to marriage was found in Genesis. Marriage was created by God and not a government.

Not to split hairs, but I would not myself consider that a historical reference. That's an account taken on faith.

Do you also think the historical existence of the man Jesus Christ was also a myth?

No, it’s certain that he existed. For the record, I would like to believe in the divine Jesus, but I can’t. I have tried, but I was never able to actually convince myself.
