I don't know Lance Armstrong's politics, don't care much really, I do know I respect the man greatly and believe Lance in this issue over some sore loser whining to the USADA.

How do you know the guy that finished second wasn’t doing the same thing. Or even the next ten top finishers?

He is being found guilty with no evidence.

From wiki lol:

One of the USADA review panel members selected by Tygart to consider anonymous testimony against Lance Armstrong, Minneapolis attorney Clark Calvin Griffith, in June 2012 entered an Alford plea on the misdemeanor charge of indecent exposure for exposing his genitalia to a William Mitchell College of Law female student on a street in St. Paul, Minnesota in January 2012. Griffith was sentenced to sex offender counseling in July 2012

Lance is a democrat. I don’t know what he did or didn’t do, but I do believe there should be a statute of limitations on this sort of thing.

For them to come along after 10+ years is ridiculous. They had more than enough time to prove their allegations years ago, and didn’t, or couldn’t.

I’m with Lance on this, I’d tell them to kiss my a.. and be done with it.

From wiki-answers:

Answer: Mr. Armstrong has described himself as "middle to left". He's pro-choice, "not keen on guns", against the Iraq war, and for separation of church and state. By standards of his home state of Texas, he would be considered a Democrat.

Read more: Lance Armstrong

I don't have much sympathy for Democrats who allowed these tribunals to be created and then get burned by them.

BTW-I'm not convinced that he didn't use steroids. Just because he never got caught isn't a good indicator. That being said, trying to police drug use in sports is crazy and will never lead to "fairness". Just ask Lance.

Zero evidence... But what does it matter? The man is a conservative so he must be destroyed by the machine

Agree completely.

For all the years he was winning he was contiually tested and the authorities found nothing. Now after all these years they find something and strip him of his titles. Well, you can bet your bottom dollar had he been French he would have have been a modern day hero. Screw the French, Armstrong is a sports hero.

Perhaps now that he has been metaphorically mugged maybe he will change his political views?

My question is, is he also under a current or had a recent IRS audit?

It looks like destroying American Exceptionalism has no bounds.

He is "Going Galt" in his own way, Kudos to him in telling a Federal Agency politely up yours, I am not playing your game anymore,

He is not surrendering his power to them anymore, who do they go after now? They at least have to cease and desist on Lance...

As someone who dabbed in owning some sweet bikes and riding and used to follow the sport, I am not sure all the detractors here know that he is literally a mutant.

They have done test on his lungs and heart and he has a 30% advantage if not more the rest of us because both organ systems are bigger and not in a bad way. Maybe they just can't get over that sometimes you are born with it.

Ever since John Tomac accused Lance of doping years ago, I have been one who believes Lance doped. What I don't agree with is how one of our own Federal agencies and media destroyed him without the Rule of Law being followed. Lance won these titles on foreign soil, beating the competition at their own game. If France and the organization that runs the Tour want to strip him of his titles, they need to prove it, not the USADA. The only thing the USADA proved in all of this is that they were able to outlast Lance and his money with taxpayer dollars.

I personally think he did dope. But of course I don’t *know* that he did. For all I know everyone in the sport of cycling dopes or has done on occasion.

Unless he comes out and admits it (which I don’t see happening) we’ll never know with 100% certainty. This closes the door I think on the official debate.

Those who think he doped can hold today’s decision up as “evidence”. Those who think he’s clean can continue to say he’s been a victim of a witchhunt.

So basically not much has changed or will change.

I am ashamed that so many people on this site accept the premise that the man is guilty. Insinuating that there are tests that prove his guilt, Then why was he allowed to race? How many more test should he have undergone to prove what would not be accepted. Those who accept the premise that he must be guilty (including the phony ones claiming to “KNOW.”) are in my opinion in the same tank as the board. “Let's knock him down because he is exceptional.” And, if we do knock him down just think how much bigger we'll be.

There were no shortcuts, there was no special treatment. The same courses, the same rules. The toughest event in the world where the strongest man wins. Nobody can ever change that. Especially not Travis Tygart.

Well said Lance.....

The USADA can ESAD.

I bought those Oakleys back when Oakley was the only sponsor who still supported Lance after he got cancer. I still feel the same way and he'll always be 100% WHOLE Hero to me.

This is about Obama’s liberal Homosexual agenda. Obama appointed the homosexual Travis Tygart as the “CEO”, read: one of those unconstitutional and illegal Czar’s, of the United States Anti-Doping Agency, whatever the Hell that is. Lance was rumored to be a homosexual and the liberals went nuts for it. Lance denied it and there is no evidence that he is a homosexual. Once Lance was no longer going to be the homosexual poster boy, Tygart went after him and hasn’t let up.
