Posted on 08/24/2012 9:31:12 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Details are emerging about the man who opened fire at the Empire State Building today, killing his former boss. Mayor Michael Bloomberg identified the shooter as 53-year-old Jeffrey Johnson. According to NYC Police Commissioner Ray Kelly, Johnson worked as a women's accessories designer for Hazan Imports Corporation.

But he apparently lost his job a year ago when the company downsized.

The New York Post reported that Hazan stalked his former boss down the street and shot him.

According to a company profile on ZoomInfo, Hazan Imports employs between 50 and 100 people and focuses on budget handbags. It's located at 10 West 33rd street, right near the Empire State Building:

Shades of Vercace?

Gay shooter news won’t play too well for Hussein’s War on America, but at least his hapless propagandist fools don’t have to spin a muslim terrorist story into workplace violence — unless they’re simply getting better at it.

They sure do release A LOT of details FAST for shootings these days, unless they’re self-declared muslim terrorists.

Heil Hussein!

My first thought when they announced that a total of eleven had been hit was:
One dead by the late mister Johnson, one dead by police, and nine wounded by police.

Also, bloomie's presser just simply sucked:
"guns bad & .45 semiautomatic handguns really bad", New York good, New York safe, New York cops heroic", "Construction worker/citizen not heroic" (he just saw something and told police).
And, of course, "we don't know if he got a bullet off or not".

Some of the wounded may have been hit by police bullets. Since Johnson used a .45, and police use 9mm, it should be easy to sort out who got hit by what.

In the linked article, it also notes that Johnson and the manager he killed "had traded accusations of harassment when Johnson worked there". I'm therefore guessing gay sexual harassment led to Johnson's losing his job.

There are a lot of modern semi-autos that won’t jam if you limp-wrist them. That’s important not just for the gay crew but for women, the infirm, the elderly, etc., etc. A Springfield XD like mine is almost impossible to jam by limp-wristing, for example.

Rush said that perhaps this shooting could be laid at the door of Obama for his war on businessmen and business managers and the shooter being brainwashed by the media that he was a victim of “big, evil business.”

Empire State Building Shooter Was a Women’s Accessories Designer
By Tyler McCall Friday, Aug 24, 2012 / 12:11 PM

The shooter, Jeffrey Johnson, aged 56, was a women’s accessory designer for six years for a company called Hazan Imports, until the company downsized a year ago, at which time he was laid off. A Google search of Hazan Imports gives an address on 33rd between 5th and 6th avenue, though it was stated during the press conference that the shooter did not work in the Empire State Building itself. He had an altercation on the sidewalk with his victim, who was reportedly his former manager. He then shot the victim in the head with a .45-caliber pistol, though not much is yet known about the victim whose identity is being held until family can be notified.

WWD is reporting that Hazan Imports is a privately owned company, listed under “imports” with an estimated annual revenue of $5 to 10 million and 10-19 employees.

A total of nine people have been wounded, some of whom were possibly accidentally shot by police in crossfire, but all are reported “unlikely to die.” The two fatalities were the gunman, shot by police, and his victim, a 41-year-old male.

Especially because the name of the business [that the writer confused with the perp's] is Arabic/muslim. If that had been the actual name of the perp, it would not have been published. That's weirder than regular old incompetence.

"What in God's name ever happened to knowing where every bullet goes?"

"Spray and pray." Some years back, when D.C. first issued Glock pistols with hi-cap mags to its PD, the cops expended over 40 rounds while engaging a liquor store robber during the lunch rush on "M" Street in the heart of Georgetown. Fortunately, they only hit but a mailbox and some street signs, but many called for a return to revolvers and more range time. I thought limiting them to single shot front stuffers was a better idea.

I fixed computers for a fashion design shop in NYC. It was entirely populated by b*tchy Asian women, and even b*tchier gay men. Drama levels were ridiculous, even on a dull, boring day.

They thought that I was a complete Southern Bumpkin, until I discovered how they *had* been fixing their computers. Basically, when something stopped working they way they liked, they unplugged it and threw in a storage room.

They had close to $500K worth of stuff in there (this was years ago, when desktops and printers and especially servers were expensive). I brought most all of it back online for no more than a few thousand in parts. The owner loved me for it, and we got along just fine thereafter.

But I digress. Even on a good day, I could see where there would be problems. Most of the people in the office were all pretty loosely wrapped, and/or heavily medicated. I wouldn't have wanted to see ANY of them carrying anything more lethal than some pocket lint.

Well, having worked in general area of the Empire State building, I’m aware of the extent of the “rag trade” shops. Couldn’t walk down cross streets without dodging the guys pushing clothing racks on the sidewalks and streets. Most of the businesses are Jewish owned.

While some words in Arabic and Hebrew have the same roots, in that neighborhood it is most likely Jewish.

Follow up:
Fox just interrupted it's coverage of a Florida car chase that apparently ended with the driver being shot and dragged, very limp and very roughly, from a copse of trees and his rider being (belatedly) dragged from the car and wrestled down.
They cut it off to repeat their summary of the NY shooting.

Smith & Wesson model 28 is a fine weapon for the police. Big, N frame. Powerful, .357 mag. Beats the hell out of a 9mm and in my opinion better than a .40. But the big thing to me is it only carries 6 rounds.
If it ain’t fancy enough for some all they have to do is get the model 27.

Meanwhile, Mayor Michael Bloomberg has ordered blood tests of the shooter to determine what his blood Pepsi content was at the time of his death. Bloomberg has pledged to use the full force of the law to go after the scum that may have sold this otherwise normal man anything larger than an 8 ounce soda.

According to Bloomberg, it is apparent that this poor mans mother failed to nurse him. Apparently, the dead guys dad and uncles Fred, both democrats, nursed him until he was 18, according to sources close to the investigation.
