This is event is toxic. Akin will not win ...guarnteed. The bastard needs to bow out.
It’s probably a useless and futile hope....but I hope that he announces that his campaign will stop barraging my family with fundraising emails.

All of which is irrelevant anyway. The question that Akin couldn't answer was "What about pregnancies due to rape?".
And -- as we all know -- there are several thousand of such every year. Whether women can "shut the whole thing down" is a totally separate -- and wholly immaterial -- question.
Akin demonstrated that he was incapable of giving coherent support to the pro-life position. Accordingly, why would anybody want him representing the pro-life position?
But there ARE a LOT of people apparently telling him to stay in- Huckabee and some other strong social conservatives. They see this as a way to finally tell the rest of the conservative movement they are really running the show and they had better get used to it. Little do they realize what true harm and damage they are doing to the PRO LIFE cause.
It’s inexcusable.

Then go win one for the Democrats. You certainly have absolutely no help to offer to the conservative movement. If it was up to you, there wouldn't be a conservative movement.
Nope I want conservatives to. We have had way more than our share of RINOs. Next year I really don’t want to hear the complaining that will take place from everyone here when Romney does something liberal...which he will. It is going to be hard to see it happen and not say told you so but I will try not to do that.

Please explain how having a toxic candidate which is affecting polling and is being used against candidates across the country is helpful to the conservative movement.
What's evil is jumping into a mob mentality to try and destroy someone who did absolutely nothing to deserve it. This is the kind of irrational fervor that they had when they burned "witches" at the stake.
Akin, like many caught in error, seems increasingly convinced of his own virtue. The “party bosses” are out to get him. The “liberal elites” want to discredit his conservative views. But the uniformity of Republican and conservative sentiment to replace Akin on the ballot has removed every plausible reason for his resistance save one: pride. He does not want to be seen as a “quitter.” This is emotionally understandable. But it is a coping mechanism, not an electoral strategy.
It is an article of faith among movement conservatives that causes are more important than politicians trying to preserve their careers. Akin has ceased to sacrifice for his cause and begun asking it to sacrifice for him. Stripped of excuses, this is vanity.
Think about it bub. This guy is going to allow McCaskgill to win, based his on selfishness. Face it he is toast. Considering the stakes, that is evil.
