Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria, Planned Parenthood’s head honchette Cecile Richards, NARAL Pro-Choice America abortion supremo Nancy Keenan, and Georgetown Law’s contraceptive coed Sandra Fluke.

Man .... with a lineup like this I'm going to go out on a limb an predict that NO ONE is in danger of being punished with a baby at that convention.

” ... but, if I were a moderate, centrist, eternally indecisive swing-voter in a critical state and I switched on the Democrat convention to find a bunch of speakers warning about the threat to your abortion rights I would find it a very curious priority in the summer of 2012.”

Particularly & Perpendicularly

As usual, Steyn nails it. It’s way past time to climb out of the Akin litterbox and stop helping Democrats with this distraction, this non-issue.

Instead of continuing to worry and pick Todd Akin’s scab, there are only a couple hundred (or thousand) issues we should be pounding both parties on, particularly the Democrats, in the weeks to come.

Mixing metaphors, let’s take our screens, climb out of this litterbox and leave it to the Dims. There are no treasures to be found here.

The dhimmies are running with a `War on Women’ theme. We are fighting a war being waged on all of us (immigration, abortion, trade, and on and on) and particularly, as Steyn points out, our heirs.
You don’t have to choose between Paine and Burke here on this issue of hereditary rights and duties. There is no Tory/Labor dichotomy here; the difference between the GOP and the Democrats is one of degree, not of kind.

This isn’t between Republicans and Democrats. This is a death struggle between statists and the American people.

Defined further (if I am reading him correctly) the fight here is also particularly over the left’s narcissistic Keyneseian notion that we can continue to re-finance and max out America’s credit card because—in the long run we’re all dead so hey, who cares?

Oh, and as a postscript—screw the GOP-e. Line them all against a wall and screw them, perpendicularly.

No taxation without representation.

We have been taxing our children, grandchildren and unborn great-grandchildren for the baubles we want RIGHT NOW. This is unspeakably immoral.

We MUST stop. First and foremost, we need to admit to ourselves that CANNOT continue to pay people just to exist.

We also need to stop killing (aborting) future taxpayers.
