U.N. to invade Texas? "Ridiculous," says world body

The United Nations scoffed on Friday at claims by a judge in Lubbock County, Texas, that U.N. troops could invade the southern U.S. state to settle a possible civil war, which the judge warned could be sparked if Obama is re-elected in November.

Agreed. The other day I thought this Texas judge was a loon, but now that the UN denies this, they are lending some credence to his suspicions.

The UN should pick another spot to attack. The vast majority in W TX have multiple guns, loaded and ready to protect themselves and their property from the onslaught of illegal criminals infesting that part of the state.

Personally I’m relieved. If the UN ever managed to secure west Texas they would have half of America’s lizards under their control.

"It's absolutely ridiculous," said U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's spokesman, Martin Nesirky, when asked if the United Nations had any plans to invade Texas.

He later added: "No one, not even the United Nations, would ever mess with Texas."

Methinks you didn't closely read the article.

The influx of out-of-state volunteers to throw said invaders back into the Gulf would choke the highways.

So this makes sense to you? Loony toon faux judge (it’s an at-law-court, and the judge in question is not an attorney or jurist) say the U.N. is coming, and since the you U.N. denies it, you take that as proof that the judge’s [sic] ravings are legitimate. Had the U.N. claimed it did intend to do so, you would have no doubt accepted that as well. Congratulation, you’re logic contrived to the point where the loony toon judge cannot be wrong. Yep, that’s the very definition of pseudo logic.

Don't be silly. California has at least as many gun-toting cowboys as Texas. Our state government may surrender and bend over, but those of us not in LA or SF would be going "wolverines!" on that ass.

I said it lends some credence to his suspicions. I never said he cannot be wrong; he is very probably wrong. But Howe and Strauss, Ortega y Gasset : These were also accused of being paranoid and fanning the flames of delusion. History bore them out. They were ahead of their time and saw things clearly which seemed ridiculous to most who didn’t see the roots. Enough said.

“the vast majority in W Tx have multiple guns...”

Same in East, South and North Tx. Add the fact that we have neighboring states that are like minded.

This judge may have any type of rioting, etc. in mind and wants to be prepared.

Myself, I can’t imagine any state tolerating the presence of the Blue Helmets. Not saying it is impossible but I don’t think even Barry would be stupid enough to invoke such a thing.
