“It was demeaning to my culture”
It’s sad that demeaning white christian Western culture is the thing to do in America now.

While I was quoted correctly, the reporter failed to mention that I am a Mexican woman who is proud of my heritage and I was not offended by this senior activity in any way, nor were my children. The costumes that some of the kids wore were may have been a little over the top but it was all in fun and there wasn't any racism or hate implied. They are teenagers having fun celebrating their last week of high school and I am saddened that my daughter will not be able to participate in this activity because the school is now so worried about being politically correct that they have forgotten what it's like to be young, fearless, and fun.
Exactly! It’s okay if our schools in Los Angeles are bursting at the seams with foreign nationals, but don’t dare allude to the idiocy of this on campus, or you’re the racist.
100 thousand people on the streets waving Mexican flags, not a single U. S. flag in sight, not insulting. A U. S. flag at school, a major felony. “It could incite a riot.”
And as for the Christian thing, practitioners are public enemy number one on school campuses these days. “Don’t you dare bring a Bible to school. Don’t you dare turn in a paper with the name Jesus on it.”
Up is down. Down is up...
