Right-wing rocker Ted Nugent made a rambunctious stop on his Great White Buffalo Tour at Billy Bobs Texas in Fort Worth on Saturday night. Uncle Ted, as he lovingly calls himself, took plenty of shots at President Barack Obama while his hunting buddies (the audience) rocked out to his raging glam metal.
Nugent is notorious for running his mouth about topics like hunting laws, gun rights, and the current state of the government, and this Stockyards crowd was ready and waiting. Here are the top five jaw-dropping statements from Nugent on Saturday night:

Ted Nugent for Sec of Defense!!!
I think just to make leftists’ heads explode, before (or maybe even instead of) shutting down the National Endowment for the Arts, a Republican President should appoint Ted Nugent to head it. (Romney wouldn’t have the guts, but Palin might come 2017 or 2021.)
So where did he go wrong?
Stop right there; hereby know the writer's an idiot. Any moron knows that The Nuge is NOT metal, and he sure as HELL ain't "glam". He's a straight-up rocker and has been for decades.
Spare me from such pu**ies.
One of her five things was Nugent said (#4) we’re going to take back the govt in 2012. OMG he should probably be in the nut house !
Nowhere. The Dallas press always thinks everyone in FW is a cowboy hick. They are the sophisticated glamour libs don’t cha know.
I don ‘t even go over there much anymore. It’s like a hellhole compared to FW...lol. People are rude and obnoxious.
Heh, it shouldn’t take a rocket scientist to see there’s nothing glamorous about the Nuge.
I don’t get the headline...what again was so wild’ about those 5 things? (shrug)
Ted Nugent for Secretary of...Partying Down!
Full Frontal Nugentry:
Don't drink through my ears, ain't gonna start.
Quote 5 describes the reporting, "the whole word sucks".
Annoys me when singers rant about politics at concerns. I may agree with Ted but he should shut up and play.
Self identified draft dodger - f’ him...
Remember who Uncle Ted’s audience is, conservative rock and roll lovers. His views are thier view, no reason not to include them in his act! With out his views he would just be a has been rocker, on a classics tour, which can be quite profitable from all the has beens on the road these days.
I suffered through U2 babbling about Greenpeace and... List goes on and on.
Play the damn music and shut up.
Tired of actors and musicians tailor about world politics. They are a lucky break away from waiting tables yet are entitled to tell everyone else how to run the world? Annoying.
What would you call, "Journey to the Center of the Mind"?
Ted needed the money.
What would you call, “Journey to the Center of the Mind”?
That song is best described as late 60’s psychedelia - “glam” and “metal” weren’t in the music vernacular at the time of that song.
He sure is and he is a gentleman.
I was around when Ted Nugent was dodging the draft. Ted Nugent is a cowardly draft dodger. How any Conservative can quote him on ANYTHING is utterly beyond me.
My 70yo mom went to see him because she and a friend had free tickets at the Hardrock Biloxi the other day. She sat front and center, held her ears, and unfortunately because of narcolepsy she fell asleep a few times. She said he used much profanity and doesn’t like obama.
But methinks that reporter has a future at the NY
He even said it twice for emphasis!
That was the Amboy Dukes (featuring Ted), and they sure as hell weren't glam! :) They tended a bit to the psychedelic side....but look at the era (late '60's). No, Ted has never, ever been identified in any way with glam rock, including his stint with Damn Yankees (despite what a poster above says). The members of that band all had and have impeccable rock credentials (Ted, of course...and members of Night Ranger, Styx).
