conservative documentary “2016: Obama’s America” stole the show from Sly Stallone’s bad-ass geezers and three opening films at the weekend box office, on its way to an estimated $6.2 million total for the three days.

The $5,940 per-screen average posted by "2016: Obama's America" was easily the best among films playing widely. "Expendables 2" stayed on top in its second week with $13.2 million averaging $3,950 from 3,355 theaters.

The documentary purports to tell what things will be like should the president be re-elected. Distributor Rocky Mountain Pictures expanded it into 1,091 theaters (from 169 last week) just in time to cash in on the buzz surrounding the Republican National Convention.

Billboards! Billboards everywhere ..... everywhere the freeway slows to a crawl, on the sides of office towers, leaving the airport grounds.

"Obama = Forerunner of The Beast"

That's Slick Willie over there with that bunch on the right, applauding, isn't it? Figures. Him and FDR.

And Bush II.

You will need those earplugs. The music is a bit tribal and very loud.

” the artist is a FReeper”

Dissolving any possible doubt that my financial contribution to FR is an investment and an inclusion in a community that would otherwise be impossible!

Great movie! Take someone with you to see it.

The movie-maker is able to explain the influences of President Obama and how an Anti-Colonialism theology guides his action across the world stage.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I have been reading the book, The Roots of Obama’s Rage that the movie is based on. Surprisingly the book is based largely on Obama’s own fictional autobiographies. It is interesting that Dinesh D’Souza was able to recognize in Obama the anti-colonialist attitudes he witnessed from his own family members growing up. I do not think that someone who wasn't originally from a third world former colony could have come up with this perspective.

I have to admit that Obama’s apparent hatred of America and the American way has been baffling to me. I can't say that I agree with all of Dinesh D’Souza’s conclusions, but he is probably closer to the mark than anyone else. I am very glad that the movie is doing so well. I am curious how much of the information in the book is included in the movie and if the movie has info not included in the book. Hopefully, I will be able to watch it in the next few days.

We saw it this afternoon.

There may have been 4 or 5 empty seats. Place was packed. Applause at the end.

Well worth seeing.

Powerful picture. Notice Roosevelt and Clinton looking off in the same direction as Obama, Away from the down trodden American man on the bench.

Outstanding factual documentary. Immediate reaction ... there is no way a person can watch this movie and conclude that there is no difference between Romney and this evil anti-American socialist jihadist.

Just saw it, and it was pretty much as I expected.... I mean, I now know more about his "family life" while growing, but I didn't discover him to be more left wing than I'd expected. Nonetheless: Go See It!! Go Go GO.

The unexpected thing was when I left. I got outside the theater when there was this thin-bearded occupy-looking guy handing out leaflets.
"Did you see 2016?"
"Yeah" (warily)
He hands me a lime green leaflet and I was sure I was about to read something about how terrible the film was and boom: Oust Obama Coalition It's a brief review of the failed policies of Obama. The last thing I ever woulda expected. Some college kid handing out anti-Obama leaflets. I thanked him, shook and hand and wished him well.

Maybe we do have a chance.

Applause at the showing here this afternoon as well.

Unfortunately the theater had turned on the very brightest lights well into the showing and only extinguished them after being asked by an annoyed audience member.

Yes, George would seem to have been a much better choice of the two Obamas to be POTUS...

Watched it yesterday. The kind of vetting that the media should have done in 2008 to understand his worldview.

I encourage folks to go and watch it. Take others with you. This movie, and the effort to put it together needs to be supported. It will definitely be an eye-opener for people who don't spend a lot of time on political news.

We saw the movie last night. The conjecture of Obama’s anti-colonialism motivation was interesting. It might help someone better understand the consequences of his policies, but it really isn’t necessary. When leaving the movie, it was obvious most of the people who watched it were older (not too many young people there). I’m curious about what others observed.
