If the Birther Issue Comes Up in Debate
American Thinker ^ | August 27, 2012 | Jack Cashill

Posted on 08/27/2012 12:59:06 AM PDT by Flotsam_Jetsome

Although some on the right were disappointed that Romney did not pursue this, he was wise not to. This was not the right time. The right time is during a debate. At least one moderator will find Romney's bait irresistible, and I am guessing it will be CNN's Candy Crowley. What follows is a proposed strategy for the Hofstra University debate on October 16. My guess is that Romney has pretty much figured it out already, thus the remark in Michigan:

CC: Governor Romney, in Michigan you told a crowd of supporters, "No one has ever asked to see my birth certificate." Don't you believe that the birth certificate President Obama presented last year is valid?

MR: I have questions about its validity, but that is not why I raised the issue.

CC: Why did you, then? Weren't you afraid that some people, minorities and immigrants especially, will see that as a subtle attack on President Obama because of his race?

MR: Candy, not at all. No one ever asked to see Jesse Jackson's birth certificate when he ran for president or Al Sharpton's when he ran. And they are both black, both proud representatives of the president's party. I raised that issue because of the unique uncertainty surrounding Obama's early years. I know I was born and raised in Michigan. I said as much. I would ask you or the president himself to tell us where he spent the first year of his life.

CC: Mr. President?

BO: Um, um, I am not sure I understand why this question is relevant.

CC: Governor?

MR: It is relevant because President Obama built his 2008 campaign, indeed his very persona, around the fact that he was born into a happy multicultural home. . .

Hmmm, well considering Romney’s grandfather defected to Mexico, where his father was born, and it’s unclear whether George Romney ever became a naturalized citizen, Romney is the last person to throw stones.

IF that issue comes up Romney should simply invite 0bama to explain to the American people not only the reason he’s been using a Connecticut SSN when he was never a resident of that state, but to explain why he has spent well over a million dollars with the law firm of Perkins Coie to suppress and fight legal challenges to his Constitutional eligibility to hold the position of POTUS. Wind up that pitch with a question “Mr 0bama, were you lying then, or are you lying now?”

a.) Romney indeed has never been asked for his birth certificate.

b.) Romney has never engaged in social security fraud by using a number once assigned to someone else.

c.) Romney's mother wasn't a whore.

(just tossing in that last point for grins :)

Give it a rest. Even these guys admit that George Romney was a citizen (though not NBC) when Mittens was born in the US to citizen parents. That satisfies the constitutional requirement for the 2012 presumptive GOP nominee.

Well, I hate to disappoint you, but I have great trouble with you saying that. As much as I disagree with Obama on almost everything, I think the fact that you say that reflects badly on YOUR CHARACTER, NOT HIS. Maybe your are just tired, but I'd recommend you reconsider it and apologize, because saying something like that about someone's mother is low-class and shameful.

Well, if you cite them about Romney, you will have to take their opinion on Obama, too. Sauce for the goose and all.

I guess I have to give Obama credit, he has used this birth certificate issue to distract people from the real issues, and certain people have fallen for it, hook, line, and sinker.

I apologize for nothing. It has long been established that 0bama's Mama had a bad case of jungle fever, and as the late Johnny Cash said "lies have to be covered up, truth can run around naked"

I submit that your inexplicable defense of 0bama in this matter reflects badly on your logic and common sense.

Nope. Not buying the argument. The thing that Mitt needs to focus on, if he is going to play this card, is the inconvertible fact that the Birth Certificate Obama released was an utter fabrication.

That, alone, indicates a level of contempt for the laws and the citizens of The United States of America that utterly exceeds anyone’s reasonable expectations for a President.

I am confident of Sheriff Joe’s findings. He had to be sure nine ways from Sunday that it was false. Too much at stake otherwise. And haven’t you noticed how quickly it was forgotten? The MSM slipped it right off the radar.

Talking about it during a debate, and then allowing the discussion to expand to other missing documents... this is Obama’s most horrifying fear because there is no way in Hell he can let anyone see the real documents.

But he won’t have that option if forced into a promise to produce them. If Romney can force his hand there, it’s checkmate — and all over but the shouting.

The only question is whether Mitt has the gonads to go for the jugular like that. I think he might.

I just think he might...

If Romney is even a fraction of the bloodthirsty pirate that the 0bamunists have sought to portray him as?

Oh they better have a cut specialist on hand because 0bama is going to be bleeding out.

Ask why he claimed to be born in Kenya in his book promo!

Writing and distributing a book is a BIG DEAL. The author of an autobiography should be and IS involved in every minute detail of the book. There is no way that blurb got into the inside cover of Obozo's book without his approval.

NOTHING is going to take the focus off the economy because Americans wake up every morning to higher prices, lower wages (IF they still have a job) and the federal government going further up their ass for any and every reason possible.

The American people are starting to wise up about that filthy Communist f--k in the White House and that is why Romney needs to be throwing everything including the kitchen sink at that miserable Kenyan sonuvabitch.

He should just say “a lot of people have raised questions they would like answered, but fankly I want to talk about more important things, like where the next president will take the country”. That leaves the questions hanging, without opening Mitt up to charges of being a “birther”. Obama is going to lose on the issues anyway.

“What if he produces a valid document proving he was born in Hawaii?”

Actually, this is how Zero has gotten away with this for so long. The only thing he should produce is an unconditional release to the state of Hawaii stating that all of his records are to be made available to the public.

And as far as Mittens goes, I still insist he should have released 20 years of tax returns (real or fake) with “CERTIFICATE OF LIVE TAX RETURN” printed across the top and dared the media to call him on it.

I don't like Obama. But I don't think ad hominem attacks on people's mother are right, nor effective. You think someone is going to vote against Obama, because something you say about his mother? More likely they will think you are a jackass. Anyway, ad hominem are for people who don't have ideas to back them up. Lastly, if tomorrow morning you woke up and found out everything that you thought about Obama's mother, was actually true about Romney's mother, would you switch your vote? C'mon it's time to be an adult, not a 7th grader.

(I disliked Clinton as much anybody else, but I always thought the juvenile insults about Hillary, Reno, etc. to be embarrassing.)

LOOK AT THIS,IT WILL BLOW YOUR SOCKS OFF!!!!!

Obama Admits Birthplace

Scroll all the way down and watch the video, It is Obama after he became a Senator. How come it never came out before now.

Obama admits not being born in Hawaii ...Speech apparently made just after his election to the US Senate.

Can one doubt HIS OWN ADMISSION? Where is Sixty Minutes?

Obama is actually on this video admitting he was not born in Hawaii but was born in Kenya and is not even a citizen.

Obviously he made these statements because he did not know at that time that a president must be a “natural born” citizen.. OOOPS!

Circulate this before they yank it from the internet.

Will some one tell me why this guy is not being impeached??

If you just watch the first 30 seconds your mouth will drop open.
Obama admits he is not a citizen
Hmmm.... Maybe the “birthers” are on to something....

THE AMAZING PART OF THIS TRAVESTY IS AMERICANS CONTINUE ALLOWING THEMSELVES TO BE RULED BY AN ILLEGAL ALIEN.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwhKuunp8D8&feature=player_embedded
His first speech is apparently just after his election to the US Senate.

That is truly the most inane thing I've seen posted here in months, and that's saying something. Mitt Romney chose Paul Ryan, who is Barack Obama’s running mate? Do you think Mitt Romney hates this country? Barack Obama does! Do you think Mitt Romney detests capitalism, the same capitalism that earned him $300 Million or more? Barack Obama does! Do you believe that Mitt Romney would stop Israel from defending itself or stand aside while Israel is destroyed? Barack Hussein Obama would! Do you think that Mitt Romney would raise taxes and impose more red tape and restrictions on job creators, thus stalling the economy? Barack Obama already has. Do you feel that Mitt Romney wants to destroy the oil, coal and gas industries in the USA, thus putting us in the thrall of Islamic potentates who wish us to become Muslims? Barack Hussein Obama is well on the way to doing so. Do you really believe that Mitt Romney would unilaterally disarm the United States like Barack Obama is doing RIGHT NOW? I could go on for hours. I’ve never had any love for Governor Romney, but when the choice comes down to either him or Barack Hussein Obama, a man dead-set on destroying my country, the country of my birth and whose uniform I proudly wore, there is no contest. And that is the choice. No third party or write-in candidate is going to be sworn in next January. As a disabled veteran and someone who worked for President Reagan, I ask that you prayerfully consider your position vis a vis the coming election and do what reason and faith tells you is the right thing for the United States of America. Thank you.
