Brandon Darby: Anarchists (Occupy) Plan to Take Down Emergency Medical Services at RNC
Breitbart.com ^ | 25 Aug 2012 | JOHN SEXTON

Posted on 08/27/2012 6:50:38 AM PDT by Qbert

Yesterday, I interviewed my co-worker Brandon Darby as he was traveling toward the Republican National Convention in Florida. The interview focused on strategies used by anarchist protesters at the 2008 Republican National Convention and how those strategies will be used once again next week by the Occupy movement.

In addition to trying to shut down bridges to prevent delegates from reaching the convention center next week, Brandon has learned that a subgroup of Occupy is looking to shut down EMS communications throughout the city.

The video that goes along with this interview is one Brandon took at the RNC convention while working undercover for the FBI in 2008. Some of it is a bit jumpy, but you'll see some of the street blocking tactics as well as several instances of individuals throwing items onto a freeway from an overpass.

Hopefully this sort of violence will strengthen the Right and help make the Independent voter wake up.

Sounds like some good ole DNC Chicago ‘68 head bashing might be in order. Have any of these clowns ever tried these sort of antics in the south before? It may fly in NYC or SF or even Atlanta but maybe not so much where they are headed. Crackers unite! If you are one, you know what I mean. And good luck with the storm as it passes by.

Helping keep mankind warm for 65 years.

Well, assuming any of this is actually true, one would also assume that the police know about this as well and are taking appropriate counter measures. This doesn’t seem all that secret now, does it?

Or, if it IS true, it could just be big talk, like most of the recent OWS-type “actions”. You know, thousands are for sure gonna show up, but they’re lucky if it’s a dozen who actually manage to get to the “action”.

Many people in Florida are armed and there is still a “Stand Your Ground” policy here. Common sense dictates that threatening an armed populace is probably not the most intelligent thing to do.
People have to get to and from work. (unlike the protesters). Disrupting medical care is putting many innocents in grave danger. Lots of folks use public transportation and slicing tires on buses puts them out of transportation and possibly out of work.

If they do that, they'd better hope that no one in Tampa, outside the Republican Convention has a medical emergency and dies because of their stunt. Couldn't they be charged with a felony, at least manslaughter, if their actions caused a delay in getting medical help to someone?

“Many people in Florida are armed and there is still a “Stand Your Ground” policy here. ....”

Problem here is this could turn into that “un-waste-able” crisis zippy and his coterie of sycophants could use to do some really bad things (worse things?).

Overton window in effect.........

THey are terrorists.

Yes they are, but they are admired and protected by the administration. Not only that but I think they are being used to bait the conservatives into some vigilante response so that the official might of the government can be used on those that would try to hurt the "misguided students".

“a subgroup of Occupy is looking to shut down EMS communications throughout the city.”

If the left is willing to shut down EMS services based solely on political party, then what makes anyone think they won’t hold medical care hostage to individuals based on political registration data? This is a prime example of the goal of the left in controlling every individual’s health insurance, which ultimately leads to a dictation of each individual’s health care!

That is what they want. Have the expendibles killed while the major players do their damage and escape.

The dems simply want another Kent State and for it to be attached to the Republicans. They want something in the history books that connects the Republicans with violence.

Do I have that right, Party that founded the KKK?

Well, this IS the RNC convention. It's a pretty big, important, high profile target. I'd say it's a reasonably safe bet that it could get ugly.

Oboma thugs.

Remind people that these rabid freeloaders are the face of the DEMOCRAT party, and the Republicans are in no way responsible for anything they do.

Our hands are squeaky clean. These are OBOMA supporters. All this will be on obomas hands.

HUH? What counter measures did the Police take against these occupy thugs in the past year as they destroyed property and business in numerous cities across the nation? Oh that is right. Very little if any at all.

Shutting down EMS communications (?) would have little effect on the convention, but would undoubtedly p!ss off those folks in the ‘hood looking for a free ride to the hospital.

instances of individuals throwing items onto a freeway from an overpass. Motorists in California have been killed by "items thrown onto a freeway from an overpass." I expect the media will ho-hum this as they do all radical left-wing malfeasance directed at "right wing extremists" re: Gas and Shoot. Gas, shoot and SHUT UP.

Well, in Colorado, having looked at what OWS had already done earlier in other cities and states, they were virtually completely shutdown here. A brief camp-out at the Capitol before being ejected was about it. They were not allowed to even get started at a number of other locations, including the City of Boulder, where the Boulder County Commission indicated they would vigorously enforce anti-camping restrictions on all County property, including the downtown courthouse lawns.

Given the national exposure of the RNC convention in Tampa, and having had the opportunity to study what worked in places like NYC and other cities once they decided to shutdown and contain OWS, I’ll be surprised if the OWS-types have much success in Tampa this week.

At what point is this bunch of thugs going to be treated as an organized criminal group and prosecuted under the RICO statues?

The premise you lay out is exactly what happened after the Russian Revolution and it was precisely the reason the communists were able to consolidate their power. They did it by creating a health care system where none had previously existed . In that way the Party had controlled over who and what group got health care and who didn’t. “Everyone gets sick’’ said Lenin.

Using unlicensed transmitters (jamming) can cost you $10,000 a day in fines and jail time for each transmitter used. Doing it on emergency services frequencies ought to bump it up a notch from an FCC beef to DHS "domestic terrorism" even without actual disruption and resultant injury or death. If such disruptions were to cause injury or death criminal prosecutions should indeed be pursued against the organizers of the mob actions. These fools are just asking for a "get into GITMO free" card.

FYI:
Manslaughter is a distinct crime and is not considered a lesser degree of murder. The essential distinction between the two offenses is that malice aforethought must be present for murder, whereas it must be absent for manslaughter. Given the scenario of premeditated disruption of services, I doubt that a prosecutor would even consider anything less than murder.

Regards,
GtG
