“Full Metal Jacket” star and Geico's “Therapist Sarge” R. Lee Ermey said the insurance giant fired him from his commercial spot for speaking out against President Barack Obama, according to a report from TMZ.
Ermey played a former drill sergeant in the commercial, where he called a weeping man a “jackwagon” before throwing a box of tissues at the man in a hilarious and popular commercial for Geico.

GEICO Pulls Its Ads from Glenn Beck Show
Great news — yet another major company has acted in response to our campaign calling on Glenn Beck’s advertisers to stop supporting his show. GEICO told us that they will no longer run ads during Beck’s show.
This comes on the heels of news last week that four other advertisers — Lawyers.com, Progressive Insurance, Procter & Gamble, and SC Johnson — also distanced themselves from Beck. None of this would have been possible without the thousands of people — more than 75,000, now — who have taken action and signed our petition to Glenn Beck’s advertisers.

Olza M. "Tony" Nicely is the current CEO of Government Employees Insurance Company, better known as "GEICO", an American auto insurance company. GEICO is a wholly owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. Before becoming CEO, Nicely was the company's chairman since at least 1993.[1] Nicely celebrated his 50th year as a GEICO employee in 2011.
