it has LONG been common knowledge and medical fact, that severe stress can delay a woman’s period, reduce the chance of conception,
AND CAUSE MORE FREQUENT MISCARRIAGES.

are you a physician or a research scientist?
do you have any data to back up your statement?
what is the anovulatory rate in rape victims?
can you cite any reputable journal?
or medical textbook?
do you understand chronic vs. acute stress

or did you get this from the little house on the prairie one room schoolhouse ?

did you know that hookers cant get pregnant because of stress?

DallasBiff @21: "Very Convenient, that you didn't comment on Akin's "magic uterus" theory, I.E: the female reproductive system shuts down during rape."

That accusation against Akin is false. Akin actually said "...the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down." But even Akin admitted in the next sentence that pregnancy from rape could happen, yet even then he concluded that "the punishment ought to be on the rapist and not attacking the child.”

So where in his statements does Akin deserve castration by Karl Rove's lynch mob?!?

Perhaps the rage against what Akin said is explained by this excerpt from "Cowed by Political Correctness":

"Beneath all the hysterical extrapolations from his [Akin's] remark, which grew wilder and wilder as the days passed, lay that essential demand: approve of killing unborn children conceived under circumstances of rape or be deemed 'anti-woman'.

"This culture of hectoring explains why Mitt Romney rushed to the cameras upon hearing Akin’s remark to pronounce abortion in those cases “appropriate.” In a rotten culture, proof of one’s “civilized” bona fides comes from such shameless pandering."

"An authentically conservative party would find Romney’s unprincipled position far more chilling than Akin’s gaffe. If unborn children gain or lose their right to life depending upon the circumstances of their conception, then the party has already conceded that that right doesn’t exist."

[Emphasis added]

The American people are Pro Life and know that the Democrats attempting to obfuscate what our Pro Life and Conservative Republican Nominee for US Senate in Missouri said.

Their attacks on Rep. Akin are not legitimate and therefore will not succeed.

I see. So what Akin said hurt your ego.

Sheesh, freshman psychological student, it's not about my ego but Akin's.

Akin says stupid remarks, and it is my fault for pointing it out.

I guess you never heard of the story of "The Emperor has no clothes"

Actually we have bigger problems than Akin. Romney is not going after Obama during the convention. He says he is a nice guy but is not that great at the job. No going for the jugular like he did the conservatives during the primary. Rush just mentioned it. Akin could step down now but if Romney is not going to fight for the Presidency. I think that is worse. The whole Akin thing is out of control. I guess after 150 articles in a week and all the drama over it I have decided that we are never going to be a conservative nation when not even FREEPERS agree to support one of the best conservatives in the House running for Senate.

You and Akin just cling to your egos there, the rest of us have better things to do with our time

Yeah such as things as the Missouri Senate race, which you Johnnie, seems want to go down with the Akin ship and give the seat to Claire McCaskill.

> I have decided that we are never going to be a conservative nation

I will agree that we may never reach a conservative consensus, but right now we have got to stop the bleeding. My primary concern right now is that we had the MO seat locked up and we could still pull it off but akin will have to step down soon.

One certain, undeniable fact of politics right now is that rape victims must be free to call the shots or the rats win anywhere that the subject comes up.

And what does that do to change what he said afterward about the female body shutting down the potential to get pregnant?

Quit trying to confuse the whole issue.

Apparently Akin does not even have to pay for yard signs. As the media had reported on and displayed a recent production of campaign signs with Romney Ryan Akin printed against a backdrop of blue. The irony is that they were produced by the DNC not the RNC.

Why do you refuse to answer?
If you like, whom do you serve?
You’re doing a lot of dancing. Think about it and answer the question.

Why do you refuse to answer my question?
I’m not particularly fond of Romney, but I’ll vote for him every day over Obama. You’re reading more and more like a Democrat.

Republican Wildcat @72: "And what does that do to change what he said afterward about the female body shutting down the potential to get pregnant?"

Well, Akin didn't say that. Akin actually claimed "...the female body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down." This was based on what he "understood from doctors." And Akin didn't claim raped women can't get pregnant. He admitted in the very next sentence they could get pregnant.

So what is the foaming-at-the-mouth rage over Akin all about? Is it that women get pregnant every time they're raped? Half the time? Less than half the time? But Akin never said it was zero.

You originally asked , "Who do I(Dallasbiff)) serve" and I gave you my honest answer, anybody who could defeat Clair McCaskill.

Todd Akin with his first impression words, such as the female can shut down her reproductive system, are like saying the Earth is flat.

Todd is listening to his ego, and not for the good of the country.
