Love Him or Hate Him, You Don't Know Him: Obama's America, 2016
The Chicago Daily Observer ^ | August 27, 2012 | Daniel J. Kelley

Posted on 08/27/2012 10:32:21 AM PDT by PBRCat

Obama is a proponent of failed economic policies that have left much of the Third World mired in poverty. Rather than acknowledging that centralized economic planning is a failure, Obama faults America’s industrial might as the cause of economic malaise that has crippled much of Africa. The answer, therefore, is not to abandon the discredited economic policies, but to disable America so as to level the playing field. Once America is bankrupt, Kenyan economic programs are bound to succeed!

As someone who follows politics and current events closely, I thought that I was better informed about Barack Obama’s radicalism than most people. Nevertheless, the new documentary film exposed me to much more information than I had previously been aware of. Obama is not as bad as I thought. Arguably, he is worse, much worse. If you still subscribe to American exceptionalism or believe in American ideals, you need to see this movie with an undecided voter who is persuadable.

In 2008, I was initially disturbed by Obama’s bizarre hero worship of his absentee Kenyan father which sometimes bordered upon pagan idolatry. During the same 2008 campaign, by virtue of reading British newspaper articles, I was aware of the fact that Obama’s father was less of an outstanding academic and renowned economist and more of a violent alcoholic and bigamist. He was also a Marxist who believed that a tax rate of one hundred percent could be justifiable.

I know you are being sarcastic but I just saw this thread, I wonder how many others missed it.

Obama the capitalism-hating, liberty-hating, America-hating Marxist must be destroyed!!

Good sarcasm is not recognized. If that is what the intent was, hats off. Unfortunately, the comments reflect an all-too-common belief around FR.

There is some significant benefit to seeing 2016 in theatres now. The MSM is besides themselves trying to comprehend how this movie has gone from 1 screen to more than 1,000 with many more to come soon. Note the fixation with gross $ amounts for it.
Much like Chik-fil-A appreciation day, an overwhelming show of support for this movie drives home (not to us, but to the larger culture as a whole) the depth of anti-Obama sentiment and angst out there.
I realize the depravitiy of the entire movie industry - but, in this case, strong attendance that is heavily covered in the general media might help convince others out there to see the movie - I can’t see how anyone who is not a committed Socialist/Marxist can come out of that movie and cast a vote for The Great Destroyer!

The double secret sarcasm of it was that it was making fun of those to whom you refer.

I hope you’re joking?

Maybe you don’t like the jockey, but you have to bet on the horse.

Let’s don’t revisit the kind of idiocy that Republicans handed us because they didn’t like McCain.

Yes, that was the very same reaction at last night’s show in a very red district of Waukesha County. We all sat in silence rather stunned at what we just saw. I have to admit to being rather disturbed for a while afterward.
The gal that went with me was stunned because she is less informed about politics.

I always considered Obama to be Al Sharpton with a Harvard law degree. I’ve come to realize he is much much worse. Haven’t seen the movie yet but definitely will.

Saw it last night... I thought it was well-done, albeit limited to his thesis about Obama’s anti-colonialism. In this regard it was good. There is still much more about this character that can be exposed. As far as it goes (which is not far enough IMHO) it is a well-documented movie that should scare the bejesus out of anybody who is thinking of keeping this guy in office. There was applause in my half-full theatre. Not bad for a Sunday evening in Pennsylvania. I heard a few “God Bless America’s” thrown in as well.

I thought the book was way better TBH. The movie was good, but the book is really way better if you want more details on the matter.

Oh theyll probably just say D’Souza is a “coconut”, or an “Uncle Tom”, which is basically another way of saying that his skin color should dictate his politics. I know, I know, that is just about as racist an assumption as anything you can imagine, but if you repeat lies long enough and loud enough, plenty of people will start to believe them.

Eight years of Romney might equal four years of Obama. Unless the GOP can manage to control the House and the Senate.

Excellent summation of the key points of the movie.

I have also seen the movie twice -- in Anchorage, Alaska and Sacramento, California. The second time was with my son, daughter-in-law, and one of their friends (all 40 years old). We had a great discussion over frozen yogurt following the movie.

Mostly an older crowd in both showings I've been to. Both ended in silence and then clapping, but a sort of nervous clapping. My thought is that the applause was for Danish D'Souza and the work he has done putting this documentary together. At least, that's why I clapped.

I saw it...excellent. No editorializing...just the facts. D’Souza did a great job in backing up his hypothesis. Dummocraps are too emotionally involved to ever get it.

The movie makes the point that Obama is not Sharpton or Jesse J - he’s not in the “civil rights” realm and really doesn’t give a rat’s behind about “the black community” - note how disproportionately black Americans have suffered during his term. D’Souza emphasizes that Obama is not about civil rights and redressing the grievances of black Americans, but true “neocolonialism” and punishing the “colonizers”. Thus, his push to redistribute the wealth of America to the “colonized” countries. He indeed is “much worse”. See the movie!
