Welcome
Hunger is a reality in Missouri.
One in eight Missourians receive emergency food assistance every year. The food banks of the Missouri Food Bank Association are the solution to hunger statewide. Through our network of over 2,000 agencies, we provided 68 million meals to your friends, neighbors, and childrens classmates last year. The need is increasing and your support feeds hungry Missourians.
If it is burden to give money, you will feel good by volunteering. Jim DeMint would have been a great candidate. Absolutely, give to the conservative senate fund.
Yes, something is wrong. Food stamps should be used for nutritious food, not junk. When we see that at the supermarket, we indeed become cynical. Join Kiwanis. It will make a difference in your life.
No. He is the one who has created his own demise without any help from me. Some just think with their hearts instead of their heads and refuse to see what is in front of them. I actually made an economic point. In lieu of flushing money down the toilet, use it for some good. If not a food bank, the Salvation Army or the Boy Scouts.
Thing is, Romney is the LAST person I wanted, but I still support him. No money, of course, but I'll vote for him
And I'm not running around telling other people not to give him money if they want to.
It really is true. Conservatives are their own worst enemies.
Todd Akin, not me or anyone else who mocks him, is going to be responsible for a horrible pro-abortion woman staying in the Senate. That is his doing. And it makes me sick as a Catholic who believes in the sanctity of life. His arrogance and ego are going to allow McKasKILL to keep the seat that a conservative pro-lifer, other than him, would have been been able to take and could still take. Some are able to recognize that political reality, while others keep wishing and hoping that what is, is not. Do what you wish with your money. Bet on the Jaguars to beat the Patriots without a point spread if you like. The folly is equal.
If Todd thinks it’s God’s will for him to stay in, let him hit God up for funds.
The dead horse is continuing to do damage because the rotting carcass has not been removed and the smell is permeating all across the country.
I can't speak for Karl Rove however.
re: So you would rather flush the Missouri Senate seat down the tubes.
Thing is, Romney is the LAST person I wanted, but I still support him. No money, of course, but I’ll vote for him

I didn’t flush the Senate seat down the tubes. Guess who did? Guess who can still save it?
I didn’t want Romney either and may well not vote for him because California is lost. It is an opportunity to vote my conscience. If I were in a toss up state, it would be awful but I would have to punch the chad for him. If he wins, I will be out in the street and on talk radio fighting him where he is wrong. That may start on Jan. 21.
Cute joke. You are getting better.
We all make mistakes and try to learn from them to be better for it. Except for Todd Akin. He learns nothing.
Most of the time, I can do without Karl Rove.
Every single day conservatives in MO should call Akin's campaign and ask him to go.
McCaskill doesn't have to spend because she has it in the bag now.
I did think about what I posted. She did run ads for him in the primary. She did want him to win because she thought he is the easiest to beat. However, and there is always a however in life, that doesn’t mean she wouldn’t spend money to win the General.
Todd is the ELECTED CANDIDATE for the Ticket until and unless he withdraws. In the mean while I continue to back the only Candidate we have in the race. I will not vote for Claire.
The conservatives who continue to call for him to step aside can go on doing so right up to the point Claire wins or get over it and help Todd WIN.
As you can tell I am not happy with those who would keep screaming and eating our own rather than trying to repair any damage and win. I wish they would work half as hard to defeat Claire as they are trying to go against Todd.
McCaskill doesn't have to spend because she has Rove and Romney in the bag while her Leftwaffe control the airwaves.
Thanks for the input and the good news from Ohio. Yes, that is a much better place to send the money.
Thanks and you’re welcome. I would rather to spend my money on a great candidate, especially since I have to waste my vote on a selfish buffoon (Akin).
Stomping your little feet and holding your breath until you turn purple is not going to make Akin get out of the race.
We're stuck with him.
But since he won't obey us, let's cut off our noses to spite our faces.
I am not stomping my feet, which are not little, or holding my breath. Rather, I made an economic argument. It took me awhile to learn, but as a businessman, I have learned that throwing good money after bad is foolish. If someone has money to spend for politics this year, sending it to Akin is throwing good money after bad. McCasKILL, on the other hand, made a good investment. Maybe the best money she ever spent.
It would be better spent and better for the pro-life movement to send money to a pro-life conservative in a tight race, even in another state. Or do some good with it and help local people in need. If you don’t think the food bank is the right place, I have found the Salvation Army to be wonderful and efficient. Our Kiwanis group works with them a great deal.
That is my suggestion. But if you feel it is the right thing to give money to Akin, go for it. It is, after all, your money. Good luck with that investment.
If Akin has a chance of winning, which he does, why do you want to piss that away on a temper tantrum?
For that matter, shouldn't you be stomping your petite feet and holding your breath because Romney is the nominee?
The objective is to win.
You appear to believe that the objective is to get your way.
- Upland is in California (you live in Alaska; that is also not Missouri, so what is the point?)
- I am pissing nothing away and my opinion is not a temper tantrum - I believe Akin does not have a chance of winning
- I gave advice on the use of money; if some want to just flush it down the toilet, it is their money and right to do that...I would rather not waste my money...given the choice of helping someone in need or giving it to Akin, I choose giving it to someone in need
- again I will correct you...my feet are not petite...nice rhyme
- I did not want Romney as the nominee...again, I do not hold my breath and throw tantrums....I read what I have time to read, evaluate the political reality, and give an opinion
- it appears that my objective is to get my way? WTF? What does that mean? We all take positions and make arguments to defend our positions.
I am pleased that you at least read my arguments. You can perhaps agree. You can hopefully at least find them logical because I try to do some research. You can disagree. We simply disagree.
