Economic Policy Journal ^ | 27 Aug 2012 | anon

Public Policy Polling is one of the most accurate pollsters aroind, Indeed, they were the first to signal that Brown would win the special election in Massachusetts called to replace the late Senator Ted Kennedy.

They know Massachusetts well. The socialist thinking Warren has not been reacting well to the fact that she has been trailing.

I’m surprised that this even made the news. Let’s be real here. Didn’t Warren die a quick political death when claimed to be Pocahontas?

Heh, Warren’s gaffe should end up way up in the top 10 political gaffes of the year right next to Akin’s.

This is surprising, both that Brown is showing this strong and that these results were taken and published by a liberal polling outfit. It’s still competitive, but perhaps Elizabeth Warren has peaked.

You know, you and I disagree on the Akin thing, but I’ll say this much: You never see that kind of press when a Democrat says or does something that stupid. Wiener’s wiener didn’t even get that much press.

Scott Brown hasn't even started to campaign yet. Hell, I only started seeing his lawn signs pop up during the past week. But Brown knows how to run a winning campaign and he knows that campaigns are won and lost in the final few weeks. Those final 6-8 weeks, he will be everywhere. Elizabeth Warren, like Marsha Coakley, won't know what hit her.

I know that Scott Brown isn't much loved by conservatives on a national level but in Massachusetts, he's a likable guy. On the other hand, Elizabeth Warren is an insufferable fraud. The limousine liberals in places like Brookline, Newton and Cambridge love her because she's as fake as they are. But she will get crushed among blue-collar voters in places like Quincy, Revere and Fitchburg. Brown will win the lunch-pail crowd by a large margin.

I'm thinking Brown will win by double-digits and he'll give Romney a shot to carry the state as well. Now that will be even a bigger upset than Brown's own 2010 victory.

A month or two ago, I'd have thought your thinking was a long, long shot. But I have spoken to many left-leaning independents who are turned off by Crockajawea in a big way and find appeal in Scott Brown's "bipartisanship". And I am seeing a few Scott Brown lawn signs. The fact that they are out at all is a statement as Republican candidates don't usually have that presence in Mass., while democrat signs are a dime a dozen. A bigger statement is that I have seen some in the most violently liberal towns in the state!

But Brown knows how to run a winning campaign

Not really. You do know, don't you, who actually was behind Brown's miraculous win? For the past 20 years Brown was using hand made signs from Staples. All of a sudden he had professionally made signs and a computer system that was sophisticated enough to handle a million dollars a day. It was a very planned, very well subsidized campaign and Brown didn't plan it.

Well I saw a lot of handmade Brown signs in 2010 also.

Whoever planned that 2010 campaign - hopefully they are working for Romney right now.

Well, in the past he only had run for a state senate. In 2010, he ran for a US Senate seat once held by Ted Kennedy, and was seen as the one seat that might have stalled the 0bamaCare (it would have, if Reid didn’t change strategy). Republicans all over the country were happy to send their money. Why would anybody see that as irregular and source for snarky remarks?

I disagree with Scott Brown about some things, but I REALLY hpe he wins this seat. It’s not an unheard-of situation. In 1992, Al D’Amato won reelection to the Senate while Bill Clinton was carrying NY by over a million votes.

Losing MA is not an option.

There is still a good chance for 53 WO Missou if we hold MA and get OH, VA, FL.

And another poll in CT shows McMahon with the lead. This one from Quinnipiac. It tentatively appears that could be for real. She would be a poor replacement for Todd Akin in the Senate but a swell replacement for the robot she’s running against.

McMahon: wow. Look, if McMahon is up in CT; if Mandel is tied in OH; then there is no way Obama is doing well. He may win CT, but by a thin margin, but he will def lose OH if Mandel is winning.

I think MA is impossible for Romney, but I think that the margin for Obama will be shockingly small and it will reflect the general Romney strength everywhere.

The same Quinnipiac poll that has McMahon up 49-46 (same margin as the Ras poll) has Obama leading in CT by only 52-45.

Since any Demwit can count on an automatic Zombie Voter advantage in Massachusetts (”what can you say about a state which has never failed to vote for a Kennedy, no matter how many women they kill or rape?” — Drew Carey), this is probably an insurmountable lead for Senator Scott Brown.

But hey, I’m sure Lizzie “Rabbit” Warren would be much better than this horrible RINO! /s

According to the headline I read online, it says that Brown has a “slight” lead over Warren. I think 6 points is more than a slight lead. If Warren was leading by 6 points, it would have been heralded as a “huge” lead.
