Rachel Corrie Case: Who Is to Blame, IDF or ISM?
Arutz Sheva ^ | 28/8/12 | Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu

Posted on 08/27/2012 11:45:54 PM PDT by Eleutheria5

A verdict is to be handed down Tuesday on a suit blaming the IDF for the death of activist Rachel Corrie. NGO Monitor says, “Blame the ISM.”

Corrie was an American activist for the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) who was killed in 2003 when an IDF bulldozer hit her as she protested the demolition of homes in Rafiah, in southern Gaza.

Her family filed a suit in Israel against the IDF, accusing it of irresponsibility. Corrie's father believes the driver of the bulldozer intentionally struck her with his vehicle, while the soldier testified that his view was obstructed by a pile of rubble.

The Defense Ministry has stated that Corrie “was in a known combat area” and that the IDF is not responsible.

Prof. Gerald Steinberg, president of NGO Monitor, said, "Rachel Corrie's death was a tragedy, but it could have been prevented. Leaders of the ISM movement have repeatedly made statements in support of violence."

“The International Solidarity Movement describes itself as ‘a Palestinian-led movement committed to resisting the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land using nonviolent, direct-action methods and principles.’

“The ISM has a long record of encouraging activists to take ‘direct action,’ even if that means putting them in harm's way, often in direct confrontations with the Israel Defense Forces. Rachel Corrie's actions as an ISM activist were very much part of this strategy of dangerous confrontation.”

ISM co-founders Adam Shapiro and Huwaida Arraf said in 2002, "The Palestinian resistance must take on a variety of characteristics, both non-violent and violent...Yes, people will get killed and injured... ......

Another example of the weak minded stooges trained by the NEA and community organizers. A beady eyed plain looking girl seeking attention who cut her chops no doubt in student protests in the US. Deluded into thinking she was "making a difference" shouting herself hoarse in her "active fight" against the amorphous establishment. Wonder how many extra credits Carrie received for her after school efforts. Kid glove handling of protesters in America reinforced her belief that she was untouchable.

The clueless Corrie should have been asking herself,

Where are all the Palestinians?

And who was she addressing but the Palestinian press? It's unlikely she had any fluency in either Hebrew or Arabic. But she was living out the video running through her mind, Corrie, the White Goddess come to save the poor third world downtrodden, script by Franz Fanon, oblivious to reality.

Ain't she special. More useful as a dead stooge than a living useless fool.

Can’t find the original source...

Found some stuff...

http://daledamos.blogspot.com/2010/11/death-rachel-corrie-why-arent.html

The stories are mostly biased.
http://www.sweetliberty.org/issues/israel/corrie3.shtml

You’ll have to Google...

Now you can see, that when the next ding-dong gets injured in Palestinian territory, the fellow demonstrators knew better than to let the Palestinians take him to a Palestinian hospital... he had to wait to cross into Israel.
You can see on this annoyingly deadpan left-wing report that he was handed to Israeli ambulance personnel... seems the shrieking lefties have learned about how not to be martyrs.

Here is the raw footage of “Tristan” hanging out with Palestinians while they are throwing rocks and shouting “Allah Akhbar” as in this video, will not always end by a campfire with toasty marshmallows singing “Kumbayah”.

Those pictures were taken hours before she was killed defending jihadi bomb smuggling tunnels.

Thanks for the link.

From the atricle:

"The death of an innocent civilian is always tragic..."

I don't consider Rachel Corrie to be innocent in this incident.

She chose sides in an armed conflict and placed herself in harms way to defend brutal terrorists.

She is the poster girl for the Useful Idiot contingent.

For the record the judge denied the symbolic one dollar in damages as well as attorneys' fees to the Corries' shysters.
