Well, I was responding to a post that suggested that Jindal should ask Obama to stay out of it. But, that’s not what Jindal is doing. Like you, Jindal wants Federal assistance. I just stated a fact. I didn’t offer an opinion as to whether Jindal should or should not be askIng for Federal assistance.
I am not for big government but we saw what happened in NOLA when the governor refused federal help.

I wont follow you with these tangents. The NHC is not "controlled" by the government like you are intimating. The previous head of the NHC was a global warming skeptic and a good man. Koolaid? I'll have none of it, from any side. Thank you, and good day.

to show what really happened with Katrina, W insisted Blanco let him in, was refused categorically, disaster struck as W tried to tell her, and Perry went and got the survivors and brought them to Texas. Those survivors have NOT gone back to NOLA.
FYI, I did a search on NHS and only found National Honor Society and National Health Service in the first bunches of hits.
