“Formidible campaign skills” my Aunt Fanny! You or I would’ve been elected president last cycle with everything that was going on as long as there was a (D) after our name. Senator McCain was probably the worst candidate since the Republican Party was formed (yes, I remember Senate Majority Leader Dole) and the economy was on the ropes, then Sen. Couple that with the disgust towards President Bush that’s just now starting to dissipate, the Katrina fiasco, the two wars, TARP, the “historic” campaign” and everything else. There was no way Governor Sarah Palin could save that ticket all by herself. She gave it a mighty try, but the die was cast.
